Just seen this and thought I'd give it a go with some trepidation!!
I passed 11+ with no extra help in 1961, went to Grammar School then to Teacher Training College and retired from primary school teaching recently.

After 6 minutes and having spent at least 2 minutes on q 11 I achieved 14-so you know which one I couldn't get!!

Oh well I'm out of the system now!!
  • I got 11 out of 15, I did well in the English ones, funny that, seeing as I'm studying English at uni!!!!
  • 15 out of 15, but I guessed the last one so it doesn't really count. I'm sure 15 made no sense...

Good news: 15 out of 15

Bad news: It took me until the end of the test to realise I'd done the whole thing a while ago when it was first posted on here......

Is there a test to see if you're going a bit nutty?
  • I passed in 196x something but only 7/15 here. Obviously lost a few brain cells along the way combined with laziness and careless clicking on the wrong answer twice! As my ego-crushing teacher at the time said "you only passed because of your excellent english - you are useless at maths". Not that I'm still bitter!

9 out of 15, which I am proud of as it appears I didn't understand many of the questions properly- reading too much into things!

But actually, -what on Earth...? Can someone please explain to me for what reason would kids need to know this stuff? are they being trained to become computers or people?

That was nothing like my 11+ and I sat mine 7 years ago. I guess things aren't what they used to be even at grammar schools!
