Can you pass the 11+? Free 10 min test:

Got 15 out of 15 - but then I have helped my eldest two boys prepare for their 11+ tests.
We live in Kent where grammar schools are alive and kicking and I can tell you that the real tests are much harder than the few questions on the bbc website. They have to sit maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning - 3 separate papers at 50 mins each and also complete and English written test. The grammar schools are great for those who get in, but the system is devisive and stressful, but as we don't have any comprehensive schools within travelling distance, we have no real (affordable) option.0

We're Kent, too, jap200- so my son sat the same 3 papers and the English written. It only seems like yesterday we were sitting in his school hall for open evening (this was still in the time when they had to apply to the schools before even sitting the tests) and just last night we began the round of Grammar open evenings for the sixth form for him. Where did that time go????
I agree that the system can be stressful and it's scary to see how some kids are pressured into it. My son loves his school and I loved the grammar school I was at- but we're lucky enough to be studious types. It's horrible to see some kids really struggling to keep up. Personally I think it's better to be be in the top group in a Secondary and feel good about yourself than struggle to keep up in a grammar and have your self esteem bashed for 5-7 years.Conquering the debts one penny at a time.....0

13/15, not bad for a dyslexic, post-coma accidentally brain damaged person who wasn'toriginally put in for the 11+ because she'd "not cope academically" 0 0

very true pennyfrog, and Flibsey, it has been said that is not indicative of the real test, so maybe your parents did you a favour. Many kids struggle at grammar and it isnt fairI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0
