Hi everyone. Guess what I am back!!! Ok here's the story. Last time I posted we had offically broke up. I went out that morning he promised change and things were really good for 3 weeks and then it went downhill very quick. So last Tuesday I said enough is enough I've got to get out of here. So we broke up amicably with the intention that we will be friends. So far so good we have been "out" as friends.

I have handed in the notice of the flat last Thursady and he is taking over the flat so I am looking for places, it seems slow as I really want to get out of here but I have cleared out big time and am more than ready.

Emotionally, surprisingly I am very happy! It just goes to show how much energy he was draining out of me. I put everything into that realtionship and 5 1/3 years later here I am. I want everyone who has shown me loads of support and have spent time reading and giving advice I really appreciate it.
I am full of joy, abundance, wealth and love.

I'm so glad you posted Racer. I felt the same when I left my last relationship, still loved him so thought I'd be heartbroken, but I didn't cry once, I felt like a weight had been lifted. A year and a half later I'm with an amazing man, who wants exactly what I do (he even accidentally let on he's been ring shopping recently!), so even if you do start to feel bleak, remember you have the power to direct your future now, and that's a priceless feeling. x

Thanks Dinah well I have 2 flats to see tonight and have seen 2 flats already. We have decided to be good friends and although he tried to fight it he said that if he did he would lose one of his best friends.

Dinah, I am always a lurker on your thread and thats great NIM is looking for rings just as long as he knows what you want. I was engaged 5 years a go but I had no say in the ring design which was awful! I was so ashamed of it. Best of luck Dinah.

Eeee lovely to meet a lurker! Lol he knows exactly what I want, not traditional gold, white gold or preferably titanium, platinum etc so I don't have to take it off to get it re-plated, and also a girl at work had a really bad reaction to her white gold wedding ring and apparently that is quite common. Prefer a square cut or rectangular stone, but so long as its not a naff heart, pear, cluster etc I'm happy. Something triggered him into a rant on settings the other night, I looked at him really blankly and said 'how on earth do you know all this, I don't understand a word you are saying!' to which he shut up promptly!

Thats so funny! I was engaged to one before ex and I had really bad reaction to the White Gold. I think you 're best with Platinum or Gold. I know what you mean about the cut tho. Something simple is nice and elegant.

Well I have seen two places and I like the last one because it has an all female environment but the room is the smallest I've seen. The first one was a guesthouse so the room is large and the house is big and quite private so I might go for that. The good thing is the owner is away on holiday so I have first pick money is the same but the last one we have to share gas bill.

Do you have a big group of friends? If you're very social anyway then go for the guest house, but if you think you might be a bit lonely the all female house may well be better as you'll make new friends and not spend that much time in your room anyway.
