Halifax Regular Saver 7.00% (Fixed)

I have to say I'm a bit annoyed at Halifax with this account. I applied on 11 December and expected to get 7%. Their website said the interest rate was 6% from 12 December and customers should "please read previous interest rates if applying before this date". It was only after reading the terms and conditions more carefully after everything arrived in the post I realised the rate was fixed on the date the first deposit was made. By the time I managed to get money into the account, the rate had dropped further to 5%.
I decided to call Halifax and a lady told me the rate would be fixed at 6%. When I pointed out that the website quoted 5%, I was told that the website was open in front of her and the rate was 6%.
I have no idea what rate I have now so will need to call again. If I end up with 5% I think I'll take my money elsewhere.0
