Transferred £6.71 to my VSP. :)

£150 overpayment that I sent at the end of last month has reached the mortgage account.

The £500 standing order overpayment left the bill account today and should reach the mortgage account by middle of next week.
I'll wait until the week after before I send any more money across.

I entered the electricity readings online (we are with Scottish Power) and we have a credit of £32.
This is the 3rd month in a row with a credit of £30-£40, so I'll look into reducing the direct debit.

6 months ago we were paying Npower £73 per month (no credit balances), and now we are paying £56 per month and are in credit every month. :j

We received a gas bill last week (pay quarterly and same supplier since we moved in 2006), so I'll look at getting a better deal (preferably online account because I can track things more easily).

Scottish Power sent me an email today.
    Quote :

*Your monthly Direct Debit payment has been revised*

We check your account every 3 months to ensure your payments closely match your consumption. This also takes into account any recent changes to your unit prices.
This review shows that your current payments are not in line with your ongoing use.*
To avoid any overpayment on your account, we have revised your monthly Direct Debit payment to £40.50. :T

So that's an extra £15.50 each month towards the mortgage. :j

Great example for any lurkers of how to make a difference on OP's - it's only money that was being spent on something else anyway !

When I checked my mortgage account online today, it looks like £100 of last month's extra £150 (£100 & £50) reached the account on the 31st March after I checked it.

I'll amend my month end stats for March to reflect this.

Paid an extra £600 this month.

My dad is abroad and has asked me to send him £600, which he will repay when he gets back to England at the end of April. I had a feeling that he wouldn't take enough money with him.

I'll see what happens at the end of the month before I add any more to the overpayment pot.

I've had £95 due from Greasypalm for the past 2 months and I've just discovered that it wasn't being paid because I hadn't entered my postal address.
Now that I've finally entered those details, I might get my payment at the start of May.

I received a mailing from ING Direct (I think Financialbliss got one too).

I have 3 brand new codes.

You must deposit a minimum of £1 before 30th May 2009 and quote the code I give you. New customers only.
We will both receive £25.

Even if you never use the account again, it's an easy way to get £25 (to stick in the overpayment pot).

Just send me a PM if you want a code.

    First come, first served.

I have given a code to shell1000 - Thank you.

The other 2 codes have been taken, so I have no codes left.

So another £75 to the overpayment pot when ING Direct pay up. :j

I also sent another £100 across to the mortgage account yesterday evening.

I'll check tomorrow evening to see if it has arrived by month end before I update my totals.
