Been busy with work, study, chilling out etc. so I need to update my diary.
As of today the net mortgage balance is £127 :j
I'll be listing some stuff on eBay this week, that should take care of that.
Still managing to fit in time for my studies and a bit of cycling and running. Weather over the last few days has been shocking, but is to be expected at this time of the year.
Although mortgage freedom looms in the next few weeks, we've decided to sell up and buy another house.
We both want (OH especially) to live in a nicer location, detached house, close to a bit of countryside (for walking and riding).
We put the house up for sale in July, thinking that it would be 6 to 9 months (at least) before we got a buyer. Other houses in our street (including next door) have taken 2+ years to sell.
House sold in 3 weeks, so we are in a bit of a state trying to sort out what we do next. Pleased for the quick sale and buyer has the funds ready and wants to move quickly.
The sort of properties we are looking at cost about £60K - £100K more, so we'll be on the MFW treadmill again when we buy again.
We probably wouldn't considering this if it wasn't for the equity we have from overpayments.
At least we'll be mortgage free for a few months.
