I've had £95 due from Greasypalm for the past 2 months and I've just discovered that it wasn't being paid because I hadn't entered my postal address.
Now that I've finally entered those details, I might get my payment at the start of May.

Payment has finally reached my Cashback Savings Account. :j

May's standing order overpayment (£500) has reached the mortgage account.

I worked some overtime over the Bank Holiday weekend (Sunday and Monday), and I have been asked to work this Sunday as a favour for one of my colleagues.
That should add another £425 to the overpayment pot. :)

I will send another £100 next week and I think that will be all for this month, as we are going to New York next Tuesday.
I've just found out that the Six Flags theme park in New Jersey will open during our stay.
    White Knuckle ride heaven. :j

Back from New York and had a great time.
The Beacon Hotel (W75th/Broadway) we stayed at was fab and had proper kitchen facilities, so we had lovely breakfasts every day.
The bed was mega comfortable and the other room facilities were A1.

Six Flags theme park in New Jersey was great, although the mega ride Kingda Ka (world's tallest and fastest 124mph) was closed.
Other rides were great, but we did have to complain about the efficiency (or lack of) when we tried to get the Fast Passes.
The customer service assistant was made to understand how dissappointed we were (especially since we had travelled thousands of miles to sample American hospitality at it's best).

We ended up with exit passes (much better than Fast Passes - straight to the ride exit and you go on the next ride) for 2 rides, which we ended up using on 10 rides. :j:j

Normally, when we go on holiday we usually have something go wrong before we leave or on the way (we've forgotten passports/got to the airport late etc).
This holiday was different in that the hassle occurred on our return journey.

Offered 300 euros compensation (150 each) or £230 cash if we would go on standby at Schipol Airport (Amsterdam) and take a flight 2 hours later at 10:10 instead of 08:35.

At the last minute before boarding ended they told us that there were 3 seats left, so we would have to go on the original flight leaving at 08:35, and get no compensation.
We were OK with that, as it was a bonus anyway (more money for the OP pot).
We asked twice if our bags had been put back on the flight and we were assured that they were safely stowed in the hold.

When we got back to Manchester, I realised after 20 minutes of standing at the carousel, that NONE of our bags had ben put back on the plane.
MY OH would have stood there all day watching, so we had a mini domestic, where I told him to go and find out what had happened.

Our bags were still in Amsterdam!:eek:

After lots of messing and waiting at home, the bags were delivered to our house at 18:40. :j

I have been in touch with KLM and I have had one apologetic initial response so far, BUT I don't think that will be enough for the inconvenience caused.

    I await further correspondence.

I've been at work today doing some overtime, but I usually do a short shift in the evening when there are no customers about and it is quite relaxing/stress free.

Today I worked a short overtime shift during the day and it was rather hectic , so I'll remind myself not to volunteer for that shift again.

I've been asked to work tomorrow evening for 5 hours, so that should be a lot better (for me and the OP pot :D).

Overpayments this month stand at £600.

This week, I've switched our gas supply to British Gas (Websaver 3) and £25 has already been validated on Quidco.

Claimed £50 of cashback from Topcashback (for Bingo sign-ups earlier on in the year) this evening, after finally realising that I had to request payment.
I thought that they just paid out like Quidco does. It's been sat there payable for nearly a month.

Quidco payout for next month looks like £79, with another £90 pending. :j

I'll also need to start looking for buildings and contents insurance as they are due for renewal at the end of June.
I got £120 cashback last year for both.

Total cashback for the year will be around £500 by June.

Well done. I did my buildings and contents earlier this month and Direct Line came out the cheapest. Don't forget Direct Line aren't part of comparison sites and neither are Norwich Union. DL give extra discounts if you have your car insurance with them. The AA give discounts on thier Road cover if you have your household or car insurance with them or vice versa. So worth checking out whoever you have your car insurance with. Good Luck, I hate doing insurance, my car insurance is due next month!
