    daily update

Just back from the library. The Writer's Handbook is there, but reference only, meaning I can't borrow it  Next step is to see where it is cheapest on the internet...

Paid £5.18 across to the card, love the fact, they have to send two pages of statement saying thank you for your payment....little things, and all that....

Very busy at work, decided to fight back, am gathering facts, figures and supporters...hate the job, need the money....

can you not look at the book and photocopy sections that interest you rather than buy the whole thing ? , just thinking MS , (okay so you have to pay for the photocopying but you know what I mean):o

Supporters are good :j , make sure you know who's in both camps as they are good to feed mis info to.
I have learnt over the years to read upside down letters and emails , it can be a very very handy skill ;)
;) Member of change Pip's name back to PIP club ;)

:jI've only blooming got my name on it :j
  • :D In true friendship and DFW's MSE stripey style.....

Can I lend you mine? Unless it has Salix, biomass, willow, renewable energy, or bioheat in the title these days I can't read it anyway.

Sorry for not offering sooner - didn't realise it would be reference - thought I didn't have it then dug through my epic piles of books and it seems I have a copy (subtle hint from granny a when my phd gets bummed).

Skulks off feeling like a bad friend..........:)

Thing is hamster, I don't know which bits I need yet! and it's a big book. I looked at the book price comparison site and it's cheapest at Amazon, when you take into account free postage, just over £8. I think I'll treat myself after payday, next Wednesday.

My report is starting to look really good, we have uncovered business wastage of £250,000:eek::eek: already. If it can't save me, it can at least save other members of my team. I have the clever person in the team working on the figures that prove it is cheaper not to go outside. But we shall see...

I can also read upside down, very under-rated skill...am also very adept at accidentally picking up the wrong emails from the photocopier. Folks normally assume they didn't actually click print

I'm sorting myself out lucielle, I don't have time to feel sorry for myself, I need to get moving and pay off more of this mess. I'll apply for a love life later

You are a best friend!! I didn't realise it would be a reference book either, why would we? We're not librarians, talking of which, the librarian in the library is really creepy, just like Lurch in the Addams family  'can I help you Modom?' eek....

It'll be too expensive to post, so don't worry about it. I noticed that the second-hand ones were going for nearly as much as the new one from Amazon, so I'd be able to recoup the money, if necessary. Especially as I'd put it through the post at work:o:o

    Hello Piq,

Just wanted to say hi and hope you don't mind me popping in...just noticed your journal thingy and only up to page 2 at the moment but really meant to be doing housework, so I really must save the other 37 pages for later this evening! It's quite exciting, like starting a new book :D :rotfl:

    Jo.xx

Well I'm not sure exciting is the word, but, you're everso welcome :hello: Thinking about it, mad is probably a better word:rotfl:
