When I was thinking of writing (plants what else) the great plant god in Englandshire (AT) told me to get a hold of this book and it would point me on my steady road to getting started.

    http://www.thewritershandbook.com/

Its in most libraries - and it gives you all the mags, what kind of thing they like, general ideas of who much they might pay etc etc etc Looks like its now a resource online as well.

"The book no writer should be without" The Times

    :)

Did a shameless thing - wore a very pretty stripey pink potentially cut low (but not low) blouse today - wonderbra (not that he could see it) and lovely well fitting trousers.

Evil supervisor couldn't look me in the eye (or the shirt) as it seems I think and fear potentially he has never been very close to a woman. My pal pointed it out once before and said it would be my best weapon of attack - to actually look like a girl when I have a bad meeting. he he he he he evil evil girl.

ps one of your bosses brothers is working here - increased crop areas, etc and they cut my old post last year - but as I am still in the department - funnilyenough I often seem to be doing my old job and my new job. Its a bit like BOGOF - they really are something

Thanks for the handbook link Fay, I shall look at that and see if I'm capable
and thank you hamster for the support and encouragement too...

...and double thanks Fay for the confusion you have caused poor hamster with your is it lowcut or not shirt :rotfl::rotfl:

When I need to confuddle the men at work I put on the killer heel leopard print shoes, works everytime

...hopefully at least a couple are :rotfl:but with Fay, she could have forgotten to do them up!! Obviously, on this occasion it was deliberate as there was a wonderbra in the equation:eek:

  • Piq - I am sure the book will be helpful............you have a lovely way with words - now where have I heard that before?????

Ah ha! All buttons done up thank you - but being little and proportioned 'generously' I have to be careful.

Shirt was the kind that has the buttons starting just above the mid top of chest - so with a wonderbra and a necklace - the eye is drawn somewhat down - not anything on show - but - usually makes OH mummble a bit. Worked like a charm - hair in a chigon, earrings and heeled boots - normally I am in work trousers and wellies - tee hee

Have learnt not to wear shirts and wonderbra's together without vest.

First time I met OH parents - just back from France (first time ever a tan) I was talking to them with a button up shirt on - over indulged in france a bit so the buttons were having to work hard - OR SO I THOUGHT - mid conversation looked down - all buttons mysteriously popped - of course had to just do them up in mid conversation - but unfortunately for them they got more than they bargained for.

OH rushed me away after that for some reason, never seen them again (well not for a while) :)

...ah yes, the heels don't work with socks, sad but true! As you know I have an exotic selection of tights to go with heels, my favourites are the black opaques with red roses running up them, they work with black heels!

You can come back in a minute hamster...

  • [I have thought endlessly about a change of career, but I don't know what else I could do. I don't think you can gossip and ride a horse for a living. Why not. Jilly Cooper managed it and you're far more interesting than she is:T

Gosh haley, I'm flattered :o obviously I'd have to make up the raunchier bits, absolutely no experience there... Do not go and read Fay's diary about the whips and other such goings on...:rotfl:You'll completely misunderstand me if you do :o

I've got the day off work tomorrow, I shall look at the link Fay sent and sign up, then see what I can do... perhaps hamster's idea of doing an article for a magazine is a gentle way in?
