Sorry you had such a rough day yesterday, hope today is better.
It's horrible breaking up with someone, especially as you usually care about them and love them, you just know they're not the right person for you. Two people can be amazing, ambitious and fun individually, but that doesn't make them amazing as a couple and you both deserve to find the right fit.

Hiya Dinah :hello:good to see you again.
We used to be right together, but as time has passed, I realise I love the man he used to be. I'd rather know that I will not hear from him than wonder if I've missed his call...

Hi Piq!
LOL at the SOA comment. Is C on full livery? I was and have moved to more economical accommodation for him. I still have to do my SOA yet - OH and I are sitting down together one night next week to go through our joint and sole accounts to see where we can improve things.
When I first posted my SOA here awhile back, when the moneypit was on F/L, everyone screamed - sell the horse! Couldnt do it and he is still with me. We have also had the vet out recently so that will cost me a small fortune I am sure...... but that's the world of equines for you.
Don't mind veggie meals at all! So feel free to PM your meal plan!
Where can I find the MS money spreadsheet?
I have a feeling (horrible one at that) that my "leftovers" after my expenses wont actually leave me with much at all, if anything (ie: I spend more than I earn which is quite likely!). Will find out once we sit down next week and work it all out.
Love the Captain stories and can understand you not wanting to be identified.
Try not to worry about work, what will be will be. If your boss has any sense he'll keep you on. If he doesnt then I am sure "minced bosses" make great replacement for pasture mix! Lots of protein in it!
PS - Ditch the exex - you deserve a guy that adores you and wants to contact you and talk to you. Life's too short to be chasing bad guys that make you always wonder what are they doing, where are they, why haven't they called when they promised too? There are some amazing guys out there, you just haven't met the right one. Also - remember you can't change a person..... well not much......!!!!2009 is the year to get it cleared! Yup, the Captain's on full livery! I used to post here under a different name and I got the sell the horse one as well. When I came back to the site as the new me, I decided I wouldn't post my SOA nor would I ask advice until I knew people a bit better. All the folks on this thread are excellent for advice and totally non judgmental. I can't move him away as he was born there and has his own herd, he is 24 and may not cope with that sort of change.
Good luck with your SOA, have a glass of wine handy in case it surprises you:eek:

I went to the yard last night, really needed to see the Captain after such a stressful day and had planned a nice pootle round the indoor school with him.
When I got there I was asked if I'd like to have a dressage lesson as the lady who had booked it couldn't make it, but was prepared to give it to someone else as she would have to pay anyway.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained and it was free, so I said yes please. The instructor has worked with some of the more famous riders so I thought I might pick up some tips.
The instructor, I felt, covered his surprise at the arrival of the piebald hairy monster. Don't forget, he was expecting a huge thoroughbred bay horseBut was prepared to earn his £100  You don't see many of the Captain's sort in the high end of dressage, I suppose they're not considered elegant or agile enough!
Well, he may not have been elegant, but he was darn agile! He could do everything he was asked to do and loved every moment - in fact he wouldn't stop showing off, absolutely refused to stop :rotfl:he managed to think through most of the moves himself and obviously feels he has a future doing dressage.
The instructor said he was quite taken aback and was very impressed with the Captain's ability. He felt that if I could actually get the Captain out the show ring afterwardand do his show without his kit hanging out
:o that we could progress on the dressage circuit. He was still laughing at the Captain and his kit when he left, said he'd never seen a horse enjoy himself so much in 35 years. I think I am very proud
