    The trouble is, the boards are moderated in much the same way as a toddler's birthday party is - if someone moans then action will be taken although whether or not the actual miscreant is punished is a moot point. The resources aren't there to do what was begun yesterday(? time differences are a bgger) so Martin/MSE have had no choice but to back down.

    Having said that, the new title for the board should avoid any further unpleasantness. Hopefully we can all go back to being rude to each other.

    I feel like i've made some friends here now...The events over the past day have been rather like Xmas at the trenches in 1914! I wonder who'll chuck a grenade into the enemy's trench in order to resume hostilities?

    I went to the koala sanctuary on Magnetic Island a few years back. The owner had a hobby which was teaching parrots to say, "Pommie baaaaah-stahd". He had a couple in cages that did that.

    It's funny how that thread survived the onslaught. It was like some plucky yet shot through dhow negotiating a minor naval battle in the Gulf.

    I don't think there's any need for this attempt to claim a victory.

    What Martin added to the first post was the caution that people who can't behave will have their posting privileges removed
