edit as just thought: have you checked the local farms round here for hay/straw??? as its been really wet i dont think they have managed to do as much buisness where straw and hay are concerned so may have some left that they may sell cheap??????? there is a farm up by oxenholme train station that sells big sacks of tatties (not sure what that has to do with hay but never mind)December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Hi Rags
No where to store bale of hay, we have no garage, bunny lives indoors in the playroom in winter has an indoor cage, then goes outside in his run and little house when it gets warmer, hays for him to eat (would take him forever to eat a bale) has sawdust and shredded paper as bedding, good idea about potatoes remember seeing a sign for sacks of spuds before Xmas at a local farm, will check it out.0 -
oh well, was a good thought but only if you could store it. how far away from kendal are you living now???? only ask as the pet shop down old shambles used to sell big bags of hay for £1. not sure if it will be anymore now but lasted our bunny ages (before she sadly passed away) bit cheaper than pets at home and the like...............December 2018: £20,850.24. Hi
Well did really well yesterday and had a no spend day, so no change to current account of purse contents, will update later on todays spending.
rags yes that shop is still there i think it is owned by the same company that have Home bargains, Kendal could do with a half price or less/home bargains, is it me or are loads of shops closing in Kendal?.0 -
me and my mum were saying the other day thats what kendal was missing, we thought the woolies shop would be an ideal spot to have it but everyone is trying to get it to be a walkabout pub!! (like we dont have enough pubs??!!)
your right on the shops front, they all seem to be going, we are over run with hairdreassers, takeaways, pubs and climbing/walking shops!! the shops are saying its since they changed the one way system..........
well done on your no spend day!!!!! keep up the good work.
love rags

DAY 5
Afternoon. goodish day today, went into town to put Cheque from Global test market in the bank, cheques from christmas had cleared so was very good and paid £200 off my next account:D , recieved statement this morning £15 in interest added so thought right i'm paying that and if i have any money left at the end of this month i will pay it off this account, i just want to get rid of it now it depresses me so much. Went to Boots and used my points to get enough toothpaste to last the next couple of months (very pratical, one time i would have used it for make up that i did'nt need). Then made the fatal mistake of going into M&S and bought yummy biscuits and treats ended up spending £5.44 used current account card and i had forgot M&S vouchers that i have:mad: .Also had to pay £1.60 parking.
current account £13.85
purse £4.40
Child benefit goes in tomorrow, so in the morning i will transfer the £13.85 into savings account adding it to freebie money of £7.50, making £21.35 and once £3 from quidco is cleared i will add this and pay it off Next, who knows if i try really hard i might just clear this account this month.
Rags thanks for posting, god i hate the oneway system in Kendal, i remember when they changed it BL***y nightmare. ANd why oh why is there not more clothes shops for kids think there is only M&S and Next left, oh Monsoon but not very MSE.

Thanks Rags, i think having it all in black and white has really motivated me, everytime i come on here it is in front of me and not hidden in a drawer, i am lucky to have got christmas money to pay Next.I think when the cheque from GTM clears i will throw it at Next, feeling quite motivated now that it is going down.0
