Why do i keep doing this (in debt again) diary

Sorry if I've missed this - but how have you managed to accumulate the new debt? It might be beneficial to take a long hard look at your 'problem' areas and try to analyse why you find it difficult to control them.
This isn't meant to sound at all mean, but perhaps there may be a psychological reason for your problems. I'm fairly sure that much of my overspending as a student was due to a childhood of abject skintness (well, near enough)!
You're more than welcome to dismiss my advice as mumbo-jumbo, but sometimes it helps to take a broader view at why these things happen (as well as sorting the effects).
Also, I'd come clean if you haven't already - I had an ex with very similar habits of yoyo debting and the sooner I found out, the sooner we were able to turn things around.0 -
Well back from dentist, not too bad, need some work doing it's going to cost £45 so could be worse, and spent £12 on bread, sandwich meat, fruit and veg for the week.
Spending is mainly on my children, taking them on days out, pizza hut etc, i know it stems from childhood, i want my kids to have what i did'nt and i know i spoil them and it needs to stop but i grew up with parents who would go on holiday twice a year and pack us off to the grandparent for 2 weeks at a time, never got taken to places I remember my mum going mad at me for needing a new school skirt i had had it for 3 years it no longer fit, still would'nt buy me one said i had to buy it myself, my friends mum gave me one in the end(very embarressing for a 14 year old girl). so i know why i do it and i will stop but i need support not psycho analysing.
I hope it does'nt seeem i'm being off,it's just hard when people point out your faults.

Good morning.
Feeling very bright and positive today for some reason, i have just paid £50 off Next and £10 off littlewoods these are the normal payments i make, i decided i'm going to first pay off vertbaudet first, so any extra pennys will go there.
I have recieved a £1 survey payment from lightspeed so that has gone into savings.
I've worked out i have £15 pounds to last until Monday, I might need petrol but going to try and be very frugral, have made lunch for workto stop me going to the local bakers.
Have a good day everyone0 -
Blimey school panto money was a lot wasn't it!
Glad Dentist wasn't too much
Do you get paid on Monday (15th) - that's when I get paid too. I'm going to work out how much I have left after direct debits etc.. then keep a note on here of how much I have got left to spend.
Have just spent 60p so far on DS2's breakfast at Breakfast club. Am not planning on going out today (but I am very impulsive so that could change).
I'm on annual leave today so I am spending some time wrapping up the kids presents, it's rare that I have any time off without either of the boys around. I haven't started on anyone elses presents yet (yikes).
I always try and take my lunches to work but the trouble is they are just so boring aren't they? Lunches bought from home. It's always so tempting to buy lunches, but they do cost a fortune. I hardly ever need to withdraw money through the week if I make the effort to take my lunch to work with me.
Nearly had a crash today. I had right of way and was trundling (cos it was icy) along quite slowly, then a big lorry was waiting to come out of a yard to my right and for some inexplicable reason as soon as I got close to the lorry it decided to pull out in front of me. Luckily I was travelling slowly, but I had to swerve and slam all on. Luckily it's a new car so is in good nick, but I can never seem to pap my horn when I want to, and so I automatically went to the place it was on my old car, and so ended up flashing my windscreen wipers at the pill0ck! (i did it in an aggressive manner though, they were on the fastest setting).
Then on the way home I somehow managed to pap my horn (i do it accidentally all the time) at some old giffer walking down the road, and I nearly caused him to drop his shopping bag.
Have a good day.Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
Morning miemie! Glad you are feeling positive this morning! Makes you think that everything is achievable (which it is!!)
I find making lunch a real chore - I'm not a morning person but by the time I get round to thinking about it at night, all I want to do is go to bed. I find it easier in the summer as I can just bring in some salad stuff and leave it in the fridge in the kitchen, or some cold pasta with something. Sandwiches are sooo dull (although the ones you buy do taste really nice!!)
Have a great day and keep smiling!:Dstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Morning all
Flooozie glad you did'nt crash the car, but you did make me laugh:rotfl: its the sort of thing i would do, i'm always beeping my horn by accident.
School panto is alot but the children are taken by coach to a local theatre and it includes a snack and drink for them.
No i did'nt get paid this week, recieved child benefit for the month
Recieved a £10 voucher for Argos yesterday so that will go towards a birthday, recieved another £12 from selling some bits on ebay so need to post them today.
Need to pay for school lunches today for the month thats £14, both DD and DS have a hot dinner 1 day a week its on the day they have afterschool club and then swimming, i like them to have a hot lunch as dinner is always rushed that night and is usually a sandwich and a yoghurt.
Sold a Collegue 2 old DS games yesterday for £20, she has bought a DS for her son for christmas, I mentioned i had some games that my 2 kiddies no longer played with and she asked if i would sell them to her as the games new are exspensive, snapped her hand off, will use this money to put petrol in the car today.
Have a fun day everyone0 -
