Hypno, I always read your thread but don't post that often but follow your debtbusting as we have very similar to lose, I know a few months ago I had a lot less than you and you've overtaken me now!!!, how on earth do you do it?, mind you my total has just gone back up due to having to buy a bleedin oven! when mine bust on boxing day, do you have a contingency for things like that?

millie - I have been putting £100 a month away for real emergencies for the past 6 months or so, so hopefully if the oven dies or something similar, I will be ok. But before that, there was no contingency which was not good!

tea, I have a half day on Wednesday as the market closes at lunchtime, and I have Friday off too - so only 2 and a half days to get through this week.

yes I really need to do that too Hypno, trouble is I seem to throw everythign spare at the debt and then end up with hardly anything to live on let alone save for emergencies, it's false economy though I think

Morning Hypno...yuck to having to go to work....my downfall is forgetting/being too lazy to take something to work as well and am also going to make a big effort on that front this year.

hi hypno hope that the returne to work isn't too bad today. At least you have the week broke up by new yeards day. Better here is that in nz you get the 2nd off as well hurray. thanks for the pm as well

I set up the savings basically because I did the L&G Isa through quidco, and didn't cancel the monthly payment to it, so there is £100 a month going out, which I can get my hands on if I need it, but I am hoping that it can just continue being added to every month so I can use it if/when we ever move house.

Taxi, I did, indeed make sandwiches today, and also brought in some of my fake cappucino sachets to keep me away from the coffee shop. Also made myself some cereal for breakfast to hopefully help keep the munchies away! I reckon I can save a good £15 a week by not buying stuff - we always have bread and jam at home for sarnies!
