Hi guys! and welcome to new people coming out of lurkdom to post! Nice to see you!
Lucielle, I finish on Tuesday so still a few days to go.......
Today has been ok - everyone got given 2 bottles of wine from the boss, then I got given another Christmas present - it is wrapped, and I won't open it until Christmas day, but I can see the words "Jo Malone" through the wrapper :j , then (totally unrelated) I set off the fire alarm, by switching on a heater that hadn't been used for a while........oopsSadly, I announced it was a false alarm before the hunky men in the fire engine turned up......must try harder next time!
MSE wise, not much to report - I was naughty and bought a latte this morning and a baguette at lunchtime, but in my change I got 3 £2 coins which will go in the tin, so sort of offsets the spends......ish!
Just having a quick coffee and then off to get the children from karate - they have broken up from school now so are undoubtedly going to be in a good mood, which always helps!
Hope everyone has had a good day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
shame you have to work until Tuesday..I haven't got a day off now until 4th Jan!!!..it's a pity your DH isn't getting paid for all those extra hours your DH does as like you say you'd have no shortfall..0

......and he is working again tonight - until about 4am - unpaid. He has been at work since 8am already! We would be home and dry if he got paid for the REAL job that he does!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Hi Hypno, really feel for you with your OH not being paid for the extra hours he is doing, its bad enough that you and the kids have to do without him and sacrifice so much family time when he is being paid but having to sacrifice when he is not being paid  surely even he realises that his loyalty is way beyond the norm? And surely his place of work know that working from 8am til 4am must be illegal? :eek:0

He just can't say no to that job! I think he is slowly coming round to the realisation though that he has to ask for the appropriate amount of pay for the job. Problem is, he loves it so much that he would probably do it for free........:rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. If he definatley can't ask for the pay can you not appeal to his role in the family and that you and the kids need him there sometimes?0

OH and I both know that the secret to our very long marriage is the fact that we both work so much that we never actually see each other :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
