    :hello:Hi Hypno.
Another lurker here. Which mystery shopper sites do you use? I have logged on to retail eyes - but they only seem to 'do' pubs !!

Happy Christmas to all of you.

retail eyes are good - I have got hairdressers, restaurants, gyms, all sorts with them!

Also look at TNS and GFK and Grassroots - if you want referring to GFK I can do that for you if yo PM me your details?

Between those 4 I seem to get a reasonable amount of work!

Got a 50p scratchcard today - and it is double scratch so make sure you press F5!

OH pay from his second job has gone in but because he did a lot of (unpaid) overtime in his main job, he didn't do so much in his second job which means that the shortfall is not covered by his second job pay! BAH!!!

I keep trying to get him to sit down with his bosses and negotiate better terms - he gets paid very little but works an awful lot of extra hours for them (often doing 7 days a week, 20 hours a day!) so should be paid accordingly. If he were actually paid for what he did, there would be no such word as "shortfall" in this house! But he just keeps saying "oh, I haven't had chance to catch them yet"........oh well, only so much I can do, short of ringing his boss myself!

So, my teaching pay will be used to bridge the gap I think rather than making any overpayments - so the total won't be tumbling for another month - just the minimum payments for the next few weeks, but I suppose that is the same for most people at this time of the year so I can't complain.

Oh the joys of being a DFW! Have a good day everyone xx

Morning - have just checked everyones online banking and made transfers where needed (mainly to DS to cover his rent as not sure when his wages will go in because of Christmas and as we will be away I don;t know whether I will be able to check daily ! - would also help if MOD had paid him for TA for last 3 months!)

Last day of term today so will be a tad busy methinks!

Christmas tree:xmastree: is coming down tomorrow :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a long list of things to do, so I suppose I should crack on with them.

Hope you have a good day Hypno

Oh Hypno, what a shame - its so difficult sometimes to get an OH to sit back and look at the bigger picture. And I hope you get some proper family time over the holidays ..... I've just found out that our new tradition of going to my brother's for Boxing Day *is* happening, which I'm glad of, but no idea about the rest of the family. Moneywise .... I had to laugh this morning - I got the new email about my quidco payment - £0.75!!! :rotfl: Here's hoping for a fiver when I play my scratchcards so I can withdraw and colour in my next square!

Have a good one - when are you finishing?

I am finishing on Tuesday - still seems a way off when all around me people are "breaking up" already! Still, OH is working Christmas Eve and boxing day too, so I mustn't complain!

Surfbabe, enjoy your last day today - I always loved the last day of term at Christmas! My two finish at 2pm today, so a nice early one for them!

I bought myself a latte today.....and added an extra shot :o I think I am down to about 1 every 10 days - a whole lot better than before!

  • Think of me on Xmas Day, at work =(
  • Hi,
long, long time lurker on yur thread, always find it a great inspiration. Special thanks for the great F5 tip, really paid off for me today. Quick question ...you mention not doing more than one scratch card as they mostly belong to St Mininver, risk of losing all etc if they are closed down....is there another "stable" of scratch cards it is safe to do?

    Happy Christmas.

seese75 - takeabreakbingo is safe to do, the scratchcard is in one of the rooms. Take a look at the free bingo/scratchcard thread on the Gambling Offers Introductory Board on here. You have to deposit, and you mustn't use the bonus money - you'll lose it when you withdraw, but that doesn't matter.
