I am really narked at Barclays - I have done everything I can to keep things as good as possible, and if I had missed a payment or been late because of no money or whatever, then I could understand it, and would take the rap.

I read this as "naked in Barclays" , & thought that's a bit of extreme way of getting it sorted.

Sorry, that's its - I'll go back lurkdom

  • Evening all! :j

Just a few things to cheer everyone up...

Have a merry search for free Krispy Kreme doughnuts on these threads... Somewhere on the shopping thread, you'll come across a wonderful link from Claire21 who says...

Go into a Krispy Kreme store (yes store), buy a 6 pack of Christmas cards from them for £5.95...

Each card has a voucher for a free DOZEN of glazed doughnuts!

DOZENS AND DOZENS OF SUGAR COATED CRACK ON DOUGHNUTS....:j

    Oh and this link!

And just like the Ting Tings (which is small 'male member' in Japanese), Shut and Let it Snow!:T :rotfl:

    My God I'm hyper!
 Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!

Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!

How do you amass £70k in a year?!

    What?! Nothing in Tesco?!

My Lord! Well the link is a free download of a Christmas song from some band that's meant to be 'cool'... :o

Yeah the hyper thing passes in peaks and troughs! For someone who has had about 4 hours sleep, I think this is temporary euphoria before the massive crash and I pass out :rotfl:

    I blame the wine!

Right congrats to all the paying off debts thing! £2000 already in the first month!? Puts my £500 to shame (will update that once I get the final figures through 27th December!)

Ps: Beyonce's new album is good! :D

No, in my Tesco we have bread, and milk and stuff........

The debt payment this month includes some of my bonus, otherwise I wouldn't have a great deal to show for December - had to pay more of DS training fees and also bought a new pair (well, secondhand) of skis for him.....

As for being hyper - I could do with a dose of that right now! Need to get some "oomph" from somewhere!

any luck on the job front or are you too busy enjoying the Christmas parties at the mo?

    Thanks Hypno :)

Always like to keep up with all your news, I find you (& all your would be lodgers that you'll acquire when you move into the £1.5m house ;) ) very inspiring :j .

Panicked a bit, a week & half a go, when you started this new diary & I hadn't realised but then I found you by the time you'd reached page 2, so not to much to catch up on :p

    Bye for now

  • What a way to bring a man down! :EasterBun

Nah, the Recruitment market dies after the 5th December! I won't hear anything back from any jobs until mid-January/February.

Even in a recession, people move and progress so fingers crossed! It isn't killing me working the NHS now I'm a bit more accustomed! But I could be sacked if the photos are as bad as they say when I was plied with wine and 'they proceded to strip me in a bar for photos'...

I don't know either! I'll know more when my manager comes back in the office tomorrow!

    :rotfl:

If they get posted on the HR newsletter (which they're threatening/goading) then you can claim them as part of the Freedom of Information Act from Southwark PCT!!

    We'll see!

I don't think they're as bad as people are saying! The cringeworthy talking wasn't remembered!
