Morning Hypno,
Well done on NSD even if it was by accident and hope that you slept well last night.
Have a good day.0 -
Hope the headache has gone Hypno - School Concert was good although it seemed strange not having DS or DD in it. DS used to sing tenor and play Saxophone and DD was 1st Flutist. Really diverse range of items but really good. DS came with me so he could catch up with some of the staff!
Long day again today - working all day at school as we have a new photocopier coming and the training person is coming at 2.30 !!!! yes you have to be trained to use a photocopier! then teaching till 6, the taxi service as its the Yr 13 Christmas Party and so that DD and BF can have a beer I'm driving.
Haven;t even thought about tea at some point in between - but as I will actually be in for a couple of hours this evening i hope to do some reviews etc.
Apart from that its quite a boring day.
Hope you have a good one0 -
The headache is still lingering - I am sure it will go once I have a couple of days off. Side effect of the life I lead
Nothing more than 10p on the scratchcards today, and no mega money deposited overnight in my bank accounts, sadly. A small loan payment has come out so I have reduced my outstanding amount by £29.88.......one small step closer!
I left my purse behind again (deliberately this time). I figure it is the best way for me not to spend money un-necessarily. I have a pigsback M&S voucher for £10 in my bag so will go and get some nice biscuits for my Nana for Christmas with that at lunchtime, together with something for dinner this evening perhaps.

I have just had a little  moment......remember my excellent news on my credit score being perfect? Well, in November, Barclays had a problem with loan payments where they took a whole load out of people's accounts and then put the money straight back in again! I noticed straight away on the day it happened, because I check my banking everyday - so rang them up and said what are you doing? She said quite clearly that it was a problem they were having with lots of loan accounts that day, and was a Barclays error. I authorised her to take the money out of my account manually, and it does show as having been paid on the day due, just manually instead of by DD.
So........my credit file shows a late payment
Two things - 1....not my error in the first place - Barclays said so! Money was in the account to pay the DD, it is not my fault if they reverse it for no reason!
2. I made the payment out of a Barclays account to a Barclays loan (manually) on the date the payment was due, so they didn't even have to write to me saying "oy pay up".
So I have told them that I have a perfect credit score (GO ME!) and that if they have done anything to ruin that I will not be a very happy customer.

Good for you, Hypno, you tell 'em!
I've somehow accumulated £20 in nectar points too .. no idea what to spend them on, I might see if there's anything on the site I want.
Have a good one, in spite of Barclays (grrr to Barclays).2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
KC can you still spend them at Argos? Might be something there for you.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Happy birthday KC!
I am really narked at Barclays - I have done everything I can to keep things as good as possible, and if I had missed a payment or been late because of no money or whatever, then I could understand it, and would take the rap.
But when I can see the money being debited from my current account on the right day, and applied to the loan on the right day, I feel a tad aggrieved that they have had the audacity to put a notice on my (perfect) credit file to say I was late! It makes it even worse that it was ME who noticed THEIR error! Doing their bloomin work for them!!
rant over.......he has said he will sort it out and I have to at least give him chance to do so, but I am not going to hold my breath - I quite expect to have to go through it all again, and probably again after that!
Oh, Egg wrote again saying "sorry, we have yet to resolve your complaint - give us another 4 weeks".........ever get that feeling that despite your best efforts, you just don't get anywhere!!
The way I am going today, one of those tins of chocs will be for me to eat at my desk this afternoon :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Oh Hypno! You have mainstream loan providers, but they certainly muck you around, don't they! I can't believe the stuff you have to go through sometimes, just to be able to pay your loan amounts back, it seems *crazy*.
Hey, doodledo - great minds! I went to nectar, then on to argos - they have blinds I could use in my kitchen. I'm desperate for some, as it looks onto the road, so I have no privacy at night in the kitchen, and they do some that I could use. Excellent! By hook or by crook I *will* have a house I can enjoy!
Thanks for the birthday wishes!!! Cake at my place ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0
