Hi hypno - I'm just trying to catch up with your diary, but it looks like things are going well!
Don't fancy doing another basket of ironing do you? Maybe pania could pick it up on the way over to yours?

Yes things are going reasonably well here - just waiting for 2009 to make an appearance because then I can talk in terms of being debt free "next year" which will be a pretty good feeling! Of course I would like to be saying "debt free this year" but I think that is a tad optomistic, even for me
as for the ironing - normally I would love to.......obviously.......but on this occasion I will regretfully have to decline  :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I have to go to the supermarket today, doodledo - we have been eating out of the storecupboards all week and don't even have any potatoes or onions left, yet alone bread milk and cereal! So basics will HAVE to be done - I don't relish the prospect, but hey ....all part of the festive fun :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. You brave woman! I think I'm going to be able to manage without food shopping until I go away on Tuesday.
That looks like a do-able day, Hypno, as long as there's coffee and chocolate somewhere in there. I've just found a close second to chocolate - Sainsbury's ring doughnuts, 59p for 5 - they're absolutely heavenly, I may have to try to find a recipe for a gluten free version and start making them :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning - working my way through long list of things to do before finally being able to pack for tomorrow. Have had to resprt to wearing old old clothes so everything can be washed - just hope it dries as we don;t have a tumble drier!
Anyway if I don;t get back on here then I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas in which ever way you celebrate and I'll see you in the 2009 !!!0 -
Can i ask you hypno and pania - how long have you been training for the marathon? and how unfit were you before you started? I would love to run a marathon - but can't run the length of myself at the moment!0

Pania, come over when you are ready - client cancelled  - they claim there is a message on my answerphone......BUT THERE ISN'T so I had a wasted journey! Gah!
judi - we started 10 weeks ago from nothing - very unfit. We couldn't run to the end of my road when we started (which is about quarter of a mile) but built up steadily and 3 weeks ago I ran a half marathon which is 13 miles, so pretty good progress made!
I used to run but that is over 15 years ago - and I was very slow - my marathon time was over 5 hours, so an athlete I am NOT!!
There is nothing to stop you running a marathon - you just need to get out there and do it! I am thoroughly enjoying my running - it gives me some much needed ME time!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
