Oh well, gives me more MSE time - obviously it doesn't give me extra time for housework......:D

come and join us on the running thread - most of us are relatively new at running and some of the progress made so far is amazing! Definitely motivating, and they are very friendly to beginners looking to start out!

Have a look on the runners world website under the tab "events" to find out what marathons are around in June next year - then you know exactly what you are aiming for, and when closing dates etc are! I found that I actually had to enter the marathon in order for me to be motivated enough to get my trainers on for the first time - before that, it was just something I intended to do!!

OK, so I have just applied for an alliance & leicester current account for the quidco cashback.......we shall see if I am accepted. I've not asked for an overdraft or related credit card, so I should be ok.........but of course knowing my luck with such things I will get thrown out!

If it goes through, it is £50 cashback on quidco, so that would be nice.......

I did the esaver about a year ago, but didn't dare apply for the current account because of my credit rating, but now that my rating is high, I thought it worth a go. (although Barclays erroneous late payment mark could go against me I suppose, but if it does, I will be asking Barclays for compensation........)

I will let you know how I get on.

I can't believe if you haven't asked for a card or an overdraft how they will say no to be honest.

that is my thinking behind it too, doodledo. I thought I could use it as an account to pay in all my MSE stuff before it then goes off the egg loan. Fingers crossed!

    Hiya Hypno
Good to see how well you're doing with the running. My relationship is with OH is same as yours. We both work different hours so don't see that much of each other. I'm not working for three months now and he's working from home for two weeks whilst i'm just out of hospital....omg I think they'll be a divorce soon!!!! Lol! Hopefully he'll decide i'm ok enough to be on my own after christmas and go back to work!!! Please let that be the case:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . I love him dearly but I really don't think being with each other is good for a marriage :D . If I don't get the chance again then have a fab christmas and here's to a debt free 2009 xx
