Came home to a cheque for £50 from dooyoo, so that is another box I can colour in......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

You are right and sometimes our debt busting gets in the way of our lives. I am conscious of it because I reach the big 50 this week and my husband is quite a bit older than me and we have young children. My sis has been diagnosed with breast cancer this month and it makes you reassess things. So I am trying to get on to my children's level and enjoy the time I get with them.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Good morning - I get an extra half hour at home today because I am working at the boss's house.
DD and her friends have had a sleepover and are currently crashed out in the lounge, so I am relegated to using the dining room this morning. They didn't go to sleep until at least 4, so they are likely to be a tad tired today  But they were well behaved and seem to have had fun, so that is the main thing.
Scratchcards done - nothing of note to report there....and banking shows that £63.50 profit I made on a casino loophole has gone into my account, so that's not a bad start to the day.
Still no running for me today, but my feet seem to be healing a bit, so that is the important thing. Last night, instead of going for a run, I had a bit of a sort out in my bedroom - got another bag for the charity shop, so a tiny bit of decluttering done.
And that's about it! Have a good day everyone xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
WEll done on the de cluttering. I sorted my wardrobe out on MOnday - its very sparse anyway and got a few bits for the clothes bank.
Got on really well at the hospital yesterday with the Speech Therapist - then took mum out for a drive and afternoon tea which she really appreciated!
Not much doing today - checked online banking etc, have to finish audting church accounts and am teaching later - so a quiet day!
Havea good one0 -
Morning all, been catching up (forever catching up -sooooo many pages!)
How exciting - a new challenge, i'll dress half and half and cheer both sides depending on who sends over the most chocolate - bribery is everything!
DT happy birthday.
Hypno - more squares - :j
On a more serious note, hugs to all who are ill or have family members ill. My BIL has a kidney disease which is entering a life threatening phase at only 52 - we knew it was hereditary but it was a major shock yesterday to find out our 21 year old neice has it - the worst thing is she may have to chose to never have children. But we have her wedding to a wonderful man next year to look forward to. I am staying positive as the rest of the family has collapsed so handing out cups of tea and anything stronger where needed!
Here's to love, friendship, support, oh and chocolate.

Hi surfbabe, I am glad that yesterday went well!
Re the de-cluttering, I am still working towards my "skip" idea, but am trying to get as much out of the house "voluntarily" first. DD got another black bag of basically rubbish out of her room yesterday, so hopefully we will get there sooner or later, without me having to spend the money on the skip.

Hi Me, you crept in there while I was writing my last post!
My DD has had kidney problems in recent years, but nothing life threatening, thankfully - it is horrible when she is ill, but thankfully she has been well for about 18 months now, so for that we are all very very grateful.
