I'd agree with you all...here's to health, happiness, chocolate and prawn crackers (sorry, i've just got a craving for some!! - at least I know it's not because i'm pregnant!!!)!!
So, what have I done with my two children on half term holiday to make them sooooooo happy? I haven't taken them to euro disney, I haven't bought them an expensive games console....I've let them make their own 'subway' sandwiches and eat them in their bedrooms....oh my goodness....apparently i'm the BEST mother ever:rotfl: xx0 -
It feels good when you are a 'cool' mum. Congrats on the grants Hypno.

working on the basis that when the kids are getting to their 20 ill be nearly 70
so their and my partners security is what concerns me now .
and to be honest with the knee gone i cant exercise properly which means my breathing will deteriorate over the years to the point of stressing the heart and then comes heart attacks!!
i know this is a little depressive but this is my 5th attack this winter and the 2nd hospital visit and it aint going to get any better as the years go on,
and of cause its a vicious circle to keep the lungs clear i need to exercise to exercise i need a knee
so this has been an eye opening time ,its no good (for me anyway) to bounce along and think life is wonderful and will go on forever,it wont and it doesn't!!
the positive side of this is
i have a time limit 20yrs max probably 10yrs with good health .so
enjoy the time even the bad times,, teach your children about life no subject is taboo just scale the information to their age,
tell them why your doing things, tell then your dreams your hopes for them and yourself, explain what is a pipe dream and what could be achievable tell them about your childhood about their grandparents lives, what your favourite film is and watch it together,
create their memories,,because tomorow really is to late.WAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING
hello my name is shaun,,,and im not so addicted to farmville, still addicted to football:o:o
BAAAARRRRRRRRRRKING er insanely so0 -
sorry about the last post or am i?????
needed to write it out some where and where better than with my on-line friends!!
its not quite what i wanted to say but its very close,
and i think you will get the jest of what im trying to say..
this latest illness and the loss of friend's got me to thinking about the things we dont say
and as i said tomorrow really is too late,
so tonight when your children and your partners get home id like everyone to do the following
either one at a time or all together .....give them a huge hug and a kiss tell them that they drive you crazy to the point of distraction but you love them just the same .
normal insanity will be returning tomorrow..WAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING

No need to apologise for your post, shaun, it makes perfect sense.
Mudbath - I am allowing my children to sleep in the lounge tonight so they can stay up and watch DVDs when I have gone to bed.......I am cool tooSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I'm not cool lol! I made both my 2 clean their rooms this morning whilst I took FIL to doctors - bad mother! I'm taking them skating tomorrow tho' so that should make up for it.
Shaun, I agree with you, life is for living, I tell my lot how much I love them, how special they are and how proud I am of them everyday, we also go by the will it matter in 10 years time? then don't let it matter today thinking - I save this one for rows with family and friends that could turn into feuds!
Didn't realise quite how sentimental I am! cgxCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0 -
