Thanks guys - it really is a welcome amount. It will go into the "ski" account and THIS year I won't have to make excuses about why we are not going to some of the races. Phew!

Nothing else to report really.....but I am feeling nicely positive today :D

    Throw some positivity this way!

Congrats on the grants, I'm glad that the little Hypno's get to see their hard work paying off!

I've had an... interesting... day at work... Found out my job has the budget to go permanent so whilst it's the NHS and horrendous working environment, it's stability, money and money off my Student Loan (If I apply successfully and interview fantastically). the other interesting bit is I find out the actual bits that make a recruitment department itself are owned by HR... So I'm planning on getting those as soon as I can! :D
 Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!

Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!

How do you amass £70k in a year?!

Thanks el, how's life with you?

Walshy, that is good news about the job - even if it is not exactly what you want, there is a lot to be said for having an income at the moment, as I know you are well aware!

  • Exactly, positive thinking and spin will do! And whilst it's not the ideal one now, it give me a base to stabilise my CV and study for my professional exams and then move forward once the economy ticks upwards!

    It's full proof!

  • I do not use the 'o' word!

I am barely hitting my mid-twenties but if I'm going to overtake my OH on earnings when he's had 3 years more time to build experience then I have to be practical and driven! A bit like your debt free journey... But without the money!

I'd overtaken my OH on the earnings front on the day I started work at 18......although I'd be quite happy for him to overtake me now - it would mean we were earning a reasonable amount!

  • Lol... It's my ego that does it. I'm a good wage where £65 a week is leaving my account to my overdraft and credit card so all is well on that front.

Now it's just this career that I can do and I'll be fine!

Race ya, my career vs. your DFW...
