Abbey business accounts

I *need* to make a transaction today, using money in the Reserve account.
Idiots!!!
Similarly, I need to trsfr funds fm BizRes to cover a cheque I wrote.
That's another 49 mins Hanging On The Telephone this morning before getting a sort of ringtone & then it cut off again.
It's beginning to look like "Bye-bye Abbey Business - Hello HSBC"...Expect the worst & hope for the best...0 -
Why is Abbey so bad? Surely being part Santander they must be able to do better then this.
In truth, I have not had much trouble with them. I bear in mind that it is free business banking "forever" (so long as you stay within certain limits) so I don't expect too many bells and whistles. However, I do expect it to work.0 -

It claims that Abbey have sent this to me. The trouble is, they haven't so I am unable to access my money. Conspiracy or !!!!-up?
Edited to add: Did the board really edit out the word "!!!!"? Grow up!
Clearly it did! Since I can't say !!!!, how about "kok"?
That's odd. They got mine to me OK. Not by mail though. It appeared to me in the browser after I logged in the old way. I quickly changed to what it was before. I now have an extra layer of "security" but with the first layer being identical to the username in the second layer LOL.0 -

If you incur charges, I hope you get on their case for a refund, Also make sure it doesn't appear on your credit file.0 -
I've been having problems too. My business debit card kept getting rejected yesterday although I have plenty in the account and I have been unable to access the account online either. I spent 2 hours on hold trying to get through to Abbey yesterday afternoon. The phone was answered, someone let out a bit 'huff' at the other end and then I was put on hold again - back to the beginning of the queue!
I've tried to call them again this morning - and spent 40 mins on hold before giving up!
I am soooo annoyed with them. They could at least put a message up on their website and a recorded one on the phone system if they are experiencing problems. It is the not knowing that is the worst. And to cap it all, they have made money out of this situation due to me holding for so long on an 0845 number.0 -

I've been using the 01908 237968 number (thanks, saynoto0870 ! ) so, at least it's not costing me phone charges since I have free landline calls... HTHExpect the worst & hope for the best...0 -

It would certainly be my intention to get a refund of any charges.Expect the worst & hope for the best...0 -
Me too. Every day that I cannot access the funds in my Business Reserve account is costing me a clearly quantifiable amount of money, and I will pursue very strongly to have that refunded.
In theory I can do the transaction by phone, but I've just spent an hour in a queue on the Business Banking number with no prospect of an answer, so that's not an appealing option when I have a business to run.0 -
Tried to access my business accounts on Monday morning and was presented with the change login name, password etc set these to something sensible that I can remember - Actually wrote them down , yes I know you should not but since I've hundreds of passwords to remember all slightly different it's the only way. Actually found the old system better as you had several questions / responses.
Anyway point of the post - now I can see my accounts but cannot do anything - make payments, move money or anything other than see my balances. So far spent 2 1 hour calls to the helpdesk to get resolved but get absolutest sick of the hold music and you are moving up the queue then "you for your patience"!
Why oh why did they have to change and tinker about and totally screw up a perfectly good service !
Abbey have been fine since I moved there 4 months ago after using Alliance & Leicester who I fell out with after they lied over a refer a friend scam and were totally unhelpful after I had my credit card stolen and it was used to withdraw cash.0 -
I have just spend an hour on hold, finally answered and told by the monkey that there had been problems (duh!) and that she was transfering my call to someone else. Needless to say after two rings the connection dropped. What a fiasco. Is there no organisation in this o!!!!ry that can manage an IT project with any competence?0
