Sorry, but what does this mean: is it a northern sort of term?

    "Rear of Terrace Under Dwelling".

Well its says needs complete modernisation, but is so tiny that shouldnt cost much should it. No garden on a main road? Still cheap as chips if you just want a one bed doss down.

I looked at where i live now (salisbury) and nothing even close to that (unless we're including shared ownership)

And also looked at where I come from (Mansfield.....me duck) and still nothing that close

Yes, it's a northern term. It means the houses are built in a block and have a house at the front and a house at the back...they are built on hills so the front house will be 2 storey on street level and the rear house will be two storey underneath on a lower level at the back. It will be accessed via a ginnel in between the terrace and will probably have a small garden and as it is to the rear of the main road will be quiet.

Not desirable though. At the peak it might have gone for an asking price of double that and sold quite quickly. A x

    Thanks for the link. A

Seems to be priced at around 2002 levels that. Not too bad.

Also the asking prices and selling prices on the land registry site for this area show a massive difference, about 20% below asking recently I recall.

I miss it so much....always makes me laugh and I come from there, even the blokes call each other duck

The midlands may not be the nicest place to live but everyone and anyone will talk to you, something I've noticed about the south (well wiltshire) that people never really just chat to you at the bus stop etc which is a shame.

I even get strange looks when I call someone duck or love down here, I think it offends some people which is not my intention, its just the way I talk
