  • Hi Totallybroke, thanks for the advice. I have just had a call from e-on wanting to give me info. I am thinking about changing to DD but will have to ask LLord if ok to convert back. Just put £15 on gas and £10 on leccy last night. Lets see how long it will last!!!

    wow, youre doing really well!!!!

ive crashed and burned on the NSD's this month, we have been buying little bits almost every day, OH has all the money, so im not spending anything, and he manages not to buy anything extra, if he goes in for milk, he comes out just with milk :T :j

onion soup was soooooo good!!!!!!!! nom nom nom nom, went down very very well!!! even DD ate it, and she has been right off her food for a while :D
  • very low spend today, all we are buying today is some nappies for DD, we are shifting down to value ones, and will be buying some bed mats on friday so i can stop putting a nappy on her at nap time to see if she will stay dry, although i think it will be a while before she is dry at night

we had steak, mash and carrots for dinner last night, yummy, and i think DD is starting to eat a bit better, thank goodness

well, its payday again on friday (thats come around soooo quickly) and we are going to make a £54 overpayment on the rent as its a short month, so thats an extra £14 on top of what the judge agreed to.

we havent struggled as much this month, which is fab, although i think that was by not going to visit family as much, and we didnt have trips to hospital etc, but we did have the trip to see OH's sister, so i have no idea how we have done so well!

i havent kept track of the grocery spend, but i think its somewhere around £130, which i dont think is too bad really, i have cooked a lot more from scratch, which i love doing

so plan for the next month, pay for registry office, save up as much as we can for an extra payment on the rent, no more than 2 takeaways (one of those will probably be on saturday for me and OH) spend no more than £30 on PAYG credit, and just have as much fun as we can for very little money :D

Just a note - do you ever put 'Free outings/things to do in X'(wherever you live or are going to be over a weekend)into Google?
You can turn up wonderful Days Out that way.........and use your Tesco vouchers for Deals.

  • Hi Bumble

Well done hun!! You’re doing so well and especially for the overpayment on the rent!! That’s fab – showing very willing and also gets the debt down quicker for you!!

If its helped you not visiting family as much – can you keep to that a bit – perhaps rotate who and when you visit – maybe get them to visit you if its possible?

Sounds a good plan for next month – keep an eye on the vouchers – can make your takeaways and those little fun treats even better when you’ve got them for a bargain!!

That’s great on DD eating much better – do you think its where you’re cooking from scratch too??

Good to hear all is well!

  • i dont know what it is with DD, sometimes she has spells of a couple of weeks where she just wont eat an evening meal, but i know she isnt going to starve herself, so i dont stress too much about it, or go on at her, and she starts eating again. sometimes she wont eat 'made from scratch' meals, and other times she wont even eat a maccy d's so i dont think that its her being fussy, she just doesnt want to eat

OH had his hours changed, he was supposed to be doing 9-6 today, but his boss decided to tell him at 6 last night that he had been changed to 11-8, fantastic  so either DD wont go to bed until he gets home, or im going to have to endure her screaming that she loves her daddy and wants to wait for him

just got to pray that he gets paid properly on friday, because he was off sick, im so scared that someone is going to have calculated it wrong and we will be out of pocket

    NSD today :D
  • woooooohooooooo, just found out the council are starting our new bathroom on tuesday!!!!!!!!! eek cant wait, were going to have a shower! eeekk

have had to arrange for DD to be away for a couple of nights though, because she goes to the toilet quite a lot, and i dont want to have to put her in nappies, and the work would disturb her naps, so i can get all my batch cooking done, and do some baking, there are some fab recipes i want to try out

2 more sleeps till payday!!!! and another NSD!!! :D
