You really are a right miserable so and so aren't you?
Check out the Red Hand Rule. Was Lord Denning also one of us thicko's?0 -
No, but unlike myself he was obviously under the impression that you may need some protection - I personally think that if you're too stupid to read what you're getting yourself into then it's your own fault.0

Good job you are not involved in consumer protection then.
Anyway, happy Christmas!0 -
From what I remember in the halfords one, they may have flashed a quick image on the screen with the UP TO but the guy who was doing the voice did not say up to. Which could be deceptive especially for people who are blind etc.0

up to50% OFF all stock ............Woolworths
up to 50% OFF all Sat Navs.......Halfords
Advertisements like this are hardly designed to boost consumer confidence?
Having seen the actual Woolworths signs, it's quite clear that not only were they misleading, but they were designed to mislead. Sure, they said 'up to' in tiny lettering, but it's quite clear what Woolworths were trying to achieve, and they've done themselves no favours as far as consumer confidence and loyalty is concerned.0 -

Crikey, I'd need to take a step ladder to Woolworths to be able to read that sign properly...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I agree, that they were designed to mislead - regarding Consumer Confidence and Loyalty, I guess that as they will be most likely out of business early in the new year they don't really care about that anymore.0 -
If Woolies are not careful they will go out of business
