Those Burmese look lovely but for me the Moggy wins every time. They are beautiful, generally healthier and the rescues have (unfortunately) an abundant supply.

Having said that I still secretly hanker after a Seal Point Birman :rotfl:

the black cat pictured is an oriental, the brown one is a havana and the lilac one is an Oriental too - she also has a daughter who needs to be rehomed with her :(

so many cats needing homes...it's a good job i live in 1 bed flat!

OMG don't show me a Birman, I love them! I'm gonna get one next if Birman Rescue will let me, tho not for hopefully MANY years as Tess is only 10!

Oh, you are so evil. I wish I could but our newest kitty came to us just before Christmas and my old boy is still getting used to her (they both like to pretend the other one doesn't exist!!)

I also have to make sure I have the money - I have 8 other pets besides the cats which is a lot of vet/food bills!

I will definitely keep the rescue in mind for the future (hopefully a long way in the future though as my cats are 9 and 3 years young)

Sorry for the mistake with the Burmese - not really up on all the breeds, like my moggies too much I think :rotfl:

  • aww lovely puss cats...I have 4 (in a spacious 1 bed flat!!) but am decided that I wont have more than two after these diminish over the years...too stressful and lots of territory wars plus one very dominant (moggy) bullies the british blue I have....
re sphynx cats think they do need a bath and wearing woolies as no fur to insulate - each to their own but have to say I think theyre qute ugly!!
Re looking for breeds would recc a british blue...very friendly, affectionate, like water and lovely character pus v. cute!! have a good research before deciding on any breed...just google!!

  • Is it a Cat or a Brat (Baby) you want??! I do hope this above comment was a joke, if not it's pretty sick

just to play devils advocate...think this is a bit of a harsh comment...one persons beautiful cat is anothers ugly version; what if op cant have children and, like me, does have a cat as a baby substitute? Not sure why this is sick tbh..while I wouldnt want to bathe a cat some would....each to their own eh but think saying someone is sick if they want to is possibly a wee bit harsh?! You may not want to which is fine, but that doesent mean its wrong does it?!! :D

Just dropped in. I love animals . Iv three cats, a dog and parakeet. To me every animal is lovely. Id have more if I could afford to. My cats are well known in my area. We even have someone who drops off food once a month for them. Iv tried to give him money but he wont accept any.
My three stay together most of the time. One likes to roll over in front of people for a tummy tickle . Im sure they get fed by most people in the street.
Sorry for going on but animals make me soppy.

I couldn't care less if people bath Cats or not, what does it matter so long as it's not cruel to the Cat? What I hate is animals being treated as kids, they aren't. The way the poster said what she did didn't imply she'd be using a jumper or whatever to keep it warm but because it's all cute etc, uit's an animal! I can't have kids either & have animals instead but they are NOT kids & can't be treated as such. Of course they can be loved just as much as anyone loves their kids, but they can't be seen to be kids.
