No don't get me wrong.....she got out by slipping through the back door...IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL AT ALL TRUST ME.....We were out into the eary hours looking for her, then took our 4 year old to nursery and was out trailing the streets again, until she came running back Happy as a Larry....No it was a mistake we have not made since...we are soooooo vigilant now!! I cried I was so upset. She's my first ever pet.
do you think she's pregnant too, like another poster?
Thats fair enough I know they do slip out because I lost a kitten through escaping. No i don't think she will be pregnant, not if she is still calling. Talking to a lot of breeders then once they have been caught they settle down. Lets hope not though eh?0 -
Kimberly, I am not sure what you are/ are not insinuating here. I am a grown woman, not an irresponsible teenager. I would NOT do something like that for fun!
She is our precious Kitten, we rescued her for a reason! To love her as our pet, not let her out to get CAUGHT!!
Maybe some people would do that...NOT US OK
Yes I am a tad annoyed at your insultive manner0 -

Hiya, please don't feel insulted, it's hard online to come across as we mean to & also remember we don't know you, while some are responsible many many aren't, you only have to look at the thousands of Cats in rescue to know many people let their Cats breed, it's good you're not one of them but we're animal lovers here & want the best for the animal.
It's great you'll be spaying her & hopefully she's not pregnant, I guess now you just wait until she's done lol. tbh, it did, to me, seem *abit* like you were hoping she'd got caught BUT as I say this is the net & it's not possible to know how people mean to come across all the time & i'm sure you don't want her to be.0 -

It seemed that way to me also Tiger because Angel you DID say you would like her to have a litter and that is why I felt you had let her out on purpose and I apologise if you didn't. I know kittens can escape because mine did and she has never came back and I fear it's because whoever picked her up will breed from her because of her breed. She's not been Neutured yet....as we couldn't afford it yet....but considering other options (maybe a litter) She did escape a few week ago0 -

Also Angel if you are responsible then why did you say you would like her to have a litter?Sorry for bringing it up but I wasn't insulting you.

Ok lets put this to bed now, as we are ALL very passionate about our Cats/Kittens.
Yes I have re-read my 1st post, it could have been interpreted different from how I wanted. I did however say "Considering" other options.
What you have to agree is that, we are all capable of making informed decisions through "Choices" of our OWN. If we had/do decide to let our cat breed, we would seek professional advice on how/when to.
And we would do so appropriatley. All I was asking for was some friendly advice on "our" situation. I was trying to make sure everyone had a good and full picture of our situation.
We love our kitten Nallah, as previously mentioned we want the best for her.
Kimberly, I am sorry you lost your kitten I am sure she was very beautiful too, and hopefully she has gone to a wonderful home and is being cherished. I was so distressed when our kitten got out...for fear of "ALL THE WORST SCENARIOS"
I hope we are clear now Kimberly, I am at a computer like yourselves typing away, we are not face to face to be able to really read one another properly, misinterpretations occur naturally, thanks Tigerlily for your help.0 -

If you want to go there kimberly, I suggest you think long and hard there...IF EVERYONE never had a litter, dn't you think that there would be consequences a little later on in life!
There would be no more KITTENS being born....now would there!
Nature.....Pro-create spring to mind0 -
Hi Angel A - I wold advise getting her neutered both for her health and not having to find homes for kittens when there are so many unwanted / dumped cats (as yours was) - I don't know if you recieve any benefits at all, but you may be able to get help with neutering costs from your local RSPCA or Cats Protection league..
may be worth looking into?
best wishes,
fc
ETA - if you are struggling to pay for neutering I would advise that it is really not a good idea to let your cat have a litter - complications of pregnancy or an emergency C section can cost a lot, and if you cant afford treatment you could lose your cat (pet insurance does not cover breeding related costs)0 -

Thats just a stupid thing to say. You say that to the rescue centres0 -
Hmmmmm.....It followed your stupid statement!
But more to the point....why do you not want ME to let My cat have a LITTER?0
