we were going into town on saturday anyway, as we have to get a few more presents for ds, and a couple of token pressies for others. might be able to save a few pennies by doing it tomorrow instead. god knows we need to!

Overheard a staff member telling a friend about the sale tomorrow.
Apparently it will be 10% off the CD, computer games etc isle. 20% something else and 30% off something else (couldnt hear very well)

So its definately not going to 50% off throughout the store. But worth a look.
Looks like it is going to be much the same as last weeks f and f then:confused:

Oooh I was in woolies before, I could have asked somebody. Those sly sales assistants annoy me, just be honest for goodness sake! Whether we know now or tomorrow makes no difference to them!

I'm going to go down and stock up on choccies, wrapping paper, decorations etc. Needed to buy it all anyway so if I can get it cheaper then i'm a happy bunny :D
 Think happy & you'll be happy
    I :heart2: my doggies

I got told today that the sale is upto 60% off and the dvd player I wanted to get DS was going to be £7.49, down from £20. The guy told me that 4 had been stored for staff out the back and there were only 3 left on shelf!!
I wish he hadnt told me as I will be gutted if I dont get one............. I plan on getting there @ 9am to get that and some other bits. I will also add that he told me some toys will be 50% off too, not all but some!

Reading through this thread you would think that all Woolies employes are unhelpful & want to keep any sales secret so they can horde all the goodies for themselves!.

Perhaps the staff on the shop floor genuinely don't know or are at least not 100% sure on the details so would rather not say in case they incite a riot come Friday morning when you kick off about not getting a games console with 50% off
  • Is it friday or saturday start???..............................
