Wouldn't this depend on how much the company is in trouble? With all the talks of stores closing I'm not in the least surprised at the news of 'selling stuff off'.

How annoying I bought some full price things in woolies yesterday do you think its worth popping back up tomorrow and refunding and rebuying? Do you think they would let me do it? Still have receipts etc

It should be a nationwide promotion, the ones that are denying it are probably ignorant or trying to be sly and sell the current stock at full value

Or rather than being sly or ignorant maybe trying to keep their jobs secure for as long as possible....?

I asked in store as I was passing today, they said it is an UP TO HALF PRICE sale, pretty much meaning that most things won't be half price, and the stuff that is will probably just be crud. I expect that most things will have around 20% off, but don't expect too many real bargains.

That explains why the prices of many of the toys (such as Lego) were back at full price yesterday, having been on offer just before. It makes them look as if there is a bigger discount.
