Woolworths half price sale 5th Dec

This place makes me laugh, a lot of people are about to lose their jobs at christmas, many of them with young families and all some of you can do is moan about how their customer service isnt very good!!! Try imagining if your boss came to you in work today and said "Im sorry but you wont have a job by the end of the year". Makes bargains somehow less important. Good luck to anyone who can pick up stuff cheap from woolies and for those who cant quite seem to find things at the price they wanted maybe they will sell everything for a pound and get rid of the staff that bit quicker, hopefully then you can all stop whining. And before anyone asks no i dont work for woolworths but i could imagine how awful id feel at this time of year if i did.

well all i got to say to that is Thank you!!

Also I was doing the price corrections today and the All Gold Dark and Milk Chocolate were reduced from £5.00 to £3.35 and then 10% on top. Not sure if this is a good deal but thought Id better tell you all about it.

Also think they might be assessing the discounts and changing them in the next couple of days, I will keep you posted.

Well i got a good bargain today.....got a chad valley command centre priced at £24 went through at £1.60.

So everyone that is moaning about the sale you can moan and stay away cos your just making it easier for me to grab my bargains :rotfl:

Got a mediterranean cookery book, an Indian cookery book, a low fat cookery book, a fab christmas cookery book and a Beatles book (filled with pics and info) all for 10p each! - just 8p after 20% discount had been applied.

Also 2 Christmas Chad Valley teddies for 50p each and 6 small chad valley snowmen for 10p each - again just 40p and 8p after 20% discount.

Popped in to get a one of their fitted sheets expecting only 20% off (its the 'Ispired' soft organic cotton range) but at till that range is now 50% off & then i got a further 20% off on top of that, so went back & got pilowcase & duvet set too! :j

YES it had a massive WAS £24 NOW £2 sticker on it, and with 20% off it went through at £1.60

That sounds to me that the new promotional discounts have kicked in already. That might mean that all bedding is now 50% off!! Will have to look when I finish my shift tomorrow thanks for the spot!:T

Just breaking on Sky News that their closing down sale will start tomorrow.

EDIT: Prediction is that some stores will be closed before Xmas. A buyer could still be found but not necessarily to keep all stores open.

Awful time for employees. I know this is a money-saving forum, but while you're all hitting the stores for the bargains, think of those about to lose their jobs?
