    abso-bloody-lutely squidge...
  • Hi. Im new to this so i hope someone can help. Does anyone know what is happening with the internet orders??????? I paid £110 for a bike for my son for xmas and i cant get any answers from anyone at woolies!!!! I stupidly paid on my debit card so im not protected. This was my sons main present and im sooooo cross with them. I ordered it 4 weeks ago, i think its crap they were still taking money from people when thwy must have known how much trouble they were in. Any advice would be welcome!!!!
  • Don't waste your time with this so called sale!!
Lots of people queuing outside my local woollies this morning, waiting for them to open up. I bet they've never seen so many customers!!
Anyway, as other people on here have already stated, there is very little at 50% off. Nothing worth parting with my cash for..anyway.
A lot of people were leaving empty handed, which is not what should happen in a sale.
The staff all seemed quite chipper...considering.
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!

None of your post was based on sarcasm? self employed till operators?

Did the post you quoted mention self employed till operators?
    No it did not.

Ergo there was no sarcasm in that post

As I mentioned I was quoting the comment "If not go self employed" which suggested (to me) that this was something you could do in the twinkling of an eye and I was simply implying that it was not that easy.

Do we still have "local labour exchanges"? How quaint.

Off down to the local post office and local woolies now

  • Woolies has always been a rip off, selling absolute junk at prices almost always higher that the supermarkets (including electricals, music, dvds etc which the supermarkets now all sell too)... and they're stuff really is JUNK.

Most of the time, the stuff that's got the highest discount ie 50% is the worst of the crap you could possibly buy... they're on sale in the first place because NO ONE BUYS THEM... or worse yet, they've got serious flaws with the way they're manufactured.

And people wonder why Woolies is going down the toilet.

I am in total 100% agreement. There is a massive reason why Woolies are going out of business. They have always been lower end of the market & over priced, now the supermarkets are much cheaper, and online traders are too, without the hussle and bussle and without having to deal with a chewing gummed 17 year old goth! :rotfl:

Off down to the local post office and local woolies now

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I won, I won, I won!
Naff items on sale apart from some nativity scene christmas cards from £2 down to 70 pence for 10
  • Popped in before work this morning, absolutely nothing worth buying for me. Lots of cheapy christmas sets half price, but not stuff I would like to give to anyone. Walked out empty handed. I do love a sale, but even the stuff that was 50% off wasnt worth its price, so sorry Woolies...probably my last visit.

I have no idea if there are such things near me called labour exchanges - do you have any? (not idea - labour exchanges)

And many thanks for the offer but I have no need of the advice.
