Do cats know when you're feeling bleugh? Casper is being extra cute and cuddly today :)

Luc - I personally believe cats do know when you're feeling bleurgh and in need of a kitty cuddle - Toffee will purr and put his head in the curve of my neck and chalky will kind of flop on top of me but his paws are either side of my neck or chest depending on where he's laying so it looks like he's giving me a cuddle. I think he felt Evie move last night cos he was laid out like he was giving me a cuddle when he shot  up in the air with fur all raised then started to sniff my tummy before settling down again - but this time much further up so he wasn't laid across my tummy! Was so funnny though - Wayne had tears in his eyes he was laughing so much and it got rid of the palpitations I'd been having so that was a result.:D

Good morning all, At home today and so are the kids - their schools are both shut!

We've built a snowman and now Jess has come back in to thaw out and watch cartoons.
    It's pretty deep here!

Hope you're resting that back Lucifa.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.

She is Gem, but it's our own fault :) She is constantly in someones arms and at night I have this awful habit of falling asleep with her on the sofa. I just drift off because she's all warm and snuggly. So, now she isn't fond of her crib at all. Oh well, they are tiny for such a small amount of time at least we are all getting loads of cuddles while we can.

I'm missing work today, hubby has gone off to do the rehearsals for Ziljian drum day, he's working with Simon Phillips who is one of my all time drum heros, I soooooo want to be there, it's a whose who of the drum world down there, I've seen the stage plan and I've never seen so many drum risers in my life. gutted :( But, I promised that this baby wouldn't spend her first weeks and months at work with me and I'm sticking to it. Full time mum at the moment even though it's a close call, baby has won... I must be getting soft in my old age.

Enjoy all the time you can get. It's scary how quickly the time goes, and suddenly you're looking back and wondering where the snuggly hugs and baby smells have gone.
Having said that if it's a once in a lifetime thing could you pop in for 1/2 an hour, just to give hubby time for a hug while you check everything out?

  • Hi all. No snow for me here in Edinburgh while some of my colleagues are unable to get into work because of it. I live right on the beach so it has to be really snowing for us to get it at sea level.

Had my performance review thing with my boss at work which went will. All a bit of a surprise really as I always doubt whether I'm doing a good job or not. Oh well, I was honest with him - told him in the wrong mood he can be quite intimidating and I have to pick my moments at times to talk to him about work stuff, but I felt that we get on well enough that when there are problems and can tell him and know that he'll be fine with it - and he was honest with me. Not had great performance reviews in my last job as my last boss was a complete tosspot who refused to give me any decent work and I spent all day, every day bored. Thankfully, things are so different now.

Glad to hear there's some other musical people on here - I'm a bit of a guitarist and need to play for a few hours a day or else I get stressed!

Hope everyone else is in tip topshape and in a good mood like I am.

Well I was in a good mood until the school has decided to close after my neighbour battledto get them there for nearly an hour and my boys have decided in their teenagedness to go off to different friends in different parts of the town with no means of getting home:eek:

They are going to have to wait until OH finishes work at 5pm as our lane is now totally blocked with a car stuck on it.!!!!!

And I have had a very disturbing phone call from a very close friend who is having a nightmare with an ex partner.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Okay. I'm bored now. Have been 'taking it easy' as instructed but feel the need to go do something constructive... The house is such a tip I feel I could be making good use of this free time...
