  • Oh we use those knitted boobs at work to show the mums how to hand express! They do raise a laugh!
I must admit being quite well endowed I tend to gesture and show them what to do on my own , fully covered, boob ! I guess they think I'm mad but I can't help it!

    Evening everyone

Hugs for the poorlies and anyone else who is in need.

Snow overnight here, but raining by morning, it still took OH over an hour to get out of our road though. Horrible walking to work, all slushy and slippy.

Nearly finished my first week of full time at work, been a bit of a shock to the system, not done full time since March, the HW is suffering. Went to DSD school performing arts thing last night, didn't finish till gone 10, so it was home and bed.

OS wise, DW and WM did their thing while I was at work today, not emptied either yet (looks for a 'hanging head in shame' smiley) For dinner tonight had leftover mince from last night, freshened it up with some lovely herby dumplings though. Won a bottle of wine on the raffle last night so am about to treat myself to a glass.

  • Evening all,

9.20pm already...where did the day go???!!!

Welcome to chrisbethany, mudgekin, oystercatcher, and all the other newbies - great to have you here :)

Special thoughts to Lesley, Tristan, and all those others who may not have long left with us. As others have said, I hope they manage to enjoy as best they can this Christmas season.

Not much OSing here today as been out & about or home & working. Literally just finished. Got some of last night's meatballs & pasta to microwave in a minute.

Our poundland had packs of 2 hot water bottles for £1 (obviously, d'oh!!) and also packs of 2 fluffy covers. So 2 bottles & 2 covers for £2 - bargain for Xmas socks!!!

Got home to find my cellophane cone bags have arrived from Ebay already, so the weekend will be spent busy making snowman soup!!!!!!

Anyway, time for supper, ((((hugs))))) all.
    xx

    evening!

    just got back from work.

Floss - thanks for the Christmas idea - will mention it tomorrow to the family

ivyleaf - hope you soon feel better

Pippa.S - glad you've got the bank problem sorted out! what a relief

Managed to get some half price M&S shortbread biscuits today and also some woolly tights for Mum with the 20% discount.

Lesley is coming home tomorrow. I dont think she is aware of how desperate things are just yet. I am going to see her at teatime on my way home. It has been very hard today at work - everyone is talking about her, they are all very worried (Not only is she my best friend but we also work together)so I did get a bit tearful, after reading all your lovely thoughts and prayers for Les I have just had another little cry - you are all so wonderful and its really nice to know she is in so many prayers.Thankyou.

Am on an early shift tomorrow - doing that blasted course again:rolleyes: so it will be a very long day but at least I've got the weekend off.

    (((hugs))) to all in need

    Take care x

    Evening!

Got 2 poorly sick girls, literally sick! Yuck! Much as I feel sorry for them I am fed up running around with bowls! Did escape short term whilst a friend sat with them and go to my flower arranging thing, was great fun and made two fab Christmas wreaths - one all full of foliage with some dried orange slices on it, and another star shaped one made from willow, quite shaker-ish!

Welcome to the new peeps, oystercatcher, chrisbethany, mudgekin, nice to have you say hello and join us!

Visited Somerfield earlier, they had loads of ys bargains, got chops, escalopes and pies - somehow squeezed them into the freezers! But they were too cheap to leave on the shelves! Whizzed into Mr T's for some scissors (every time I find some one of the kids pinches them and then I have to have a huge hunt, will be keeping these in my handbag until I've finished all my Christmas wrapping, hope I don't ever get searched anywhere!), anyway Maxwell House small jars of coffee are 50p at the mo, just in case anyone hasn't seen them, stocked up with a few.

Have a good night all xx
