    Good morning everyone,

    Kathy thinking of your family
Beth Glad to hear your op was successful!
Jackie Sorry to hear about your SIL's job. I hope he finds work soon.

Well, another one with a cold here. I also have a parcel to pick up from the delivery office, so ds and I have to go out in the rain. I did request redelivery to a local post office, but received an email the day after it should have been redelivered stating that they had just opened my email so my item had not been redirected. Just to let you know in case anyone else was thinking of having their parcels delivered to their local post office.

Yesterday I made a vegetarian pasta bake for dinner as ds has his friend round on a Wednesday, and her mum joins me for my evening meal. I think it was a success.

My OS contribution to the neighbourhood so far is 2 childrens bikes in our cellar and a rock hero game, a tv and an MP3 player in our attic. Well being a good neighbour and helping to hide all the christmas presents is OS I reckon. Christmas Eve is going to be very busy here with everyone coming to collect their shopping:rotfl:

    Take care all of you

    Morning all,

TAPLADY - I'm really sorry to hear your news, brings a tear to the eye....

and yes it does put everything into perspective, so what if we can't afford presents this year....

A bit down today, its raining and has been since 5am, gotta tidy up.
DD1's xmas fair and carol concert tonight so looking forward to that.

DD1's school was on the local news last night which was really good to watch, she's watched it over and over online this morning before school.....as it's only a small school 50 pupils in total they were all really excited about it :A

I need a kick to get motivated today...off for another cuppa.

    Take care everyone
    xx

  • Good Morning All

Mioliere (((hugs))) for your family and the LO, also (((hugs))) for Taplady & your friend.

Its absolutely pouring here so I dropped DS at school otherwise he would have resembled a drowned rat. Was planning to wash the kitchen floor this morning but no point with this rain and the dogs.

Just about to put some gammon in the slow cooker for tea then will wipe the kitchen down. At least 1 load of washing to be done and the bathrooms swished and swiped. Then will dig out all the kids pressies I have all over the house work out what more I need to get (very little) and what I am still waiting on to be delivered. Whatever happens I will have all my present shopping done by next week. Will then make a list of all the food requirements.

This afternoon hope to be good and photograph and get some things on ebay. I need to cancel my car service that is booked for monday, its running OK & I need as much money as possible to pay the vat in Jan so the service can be postponed till the end of jan.

So sorry to hear about all the job losses - its so scary I am so worried about January - think a lot of companies are just managing to get through Xmas. At least all us on here have a head start on things.

Have a good day and stay dry.

Morning everyone, not a bad day really a bit showery but not as cold as it has been. A baking day today, get tonights tea organised sausage & mash, hope to make some twinks and mince pies so will be looking for the pastry recipe later. All well here did shopping yesterday but still not looking forward to christmas, with all the doom and gloom news everywhere. Think it will be a fairly quiet one. Need to have a general clean through too.

Just a quick good morning to all before I head out into the snow!

Haven't read through yet so I hope everyone's ok, *huggles* for all who need/want them.

Going to meet a friend for coffee and then get some veg in for dinner tonight, pasta bake (got friend coming to stay). Bought new boots yesterday as my old ones were letting the snow in! Really pleased as it's much worse today, they've got good grips too which will be really handy as OH said they hadn't gritted yet when he went to work.

Made shepherd's pie last night and it was yummy. Got a load of twink's mixture in my fridge, forgot to bake any last night so will do some today instead.

Take care all, keep warm and safe in the snow and ice.

Morning everyone. Wet & windy here today, no snow. Baking a gammon in cider today, should do us for the next three days. Supposed to have a phone interview this morning at 9.30, still waiting for them to call. Been out to the supermarket this morning, popped in on the off chance & they had loads of meat, chicken & fish reduced, a decent size free range chicken was £2.20 and four pork chops for a £1. Came out with three bags worth.

Have a good one whatever your doing.
  • Morning peeps!

    Hello all

    Hugs for taplady and moiliere
Crisca - hope you start to feel better soon
Pippa - have you heard from the bank yet? Hope it all gets sorted soon

Not much OS'ing going on here. Last night I made 12 chiffon roses and learnt that oil pastels and tailors chalk are not the same thing. :)

I am such a careless muppet sometimes :)

Have a good day all, cel x

    :hello: Good morning!

Haven't posted for a few days as the antibiotic I was taking made me so ill that I had to go to bed  (Managed to keep up with the thread tho.) I stopped taking the antibiotic and am now on a different one.

First of all I need to send big ((((HUGS)))) to all the folk who need them - quite a lot of us atm.

betheebee - so glad to hear you are finally able to sleep well - that's wonderful!

It was very wet and windy earlier on here (SE London/NW Kent) but the sun has come out now. Looks quite grey towards the West though, so probably more rain on the way.

I haven't really done much OS-wise lately as I just haven't been well enough, but am planning pork chops tonight with spuds and cabbage. Also "in the pipeline" for the next few days are spag bol and chili con carne. We bought a full pound of mince to make the bolognaise , as last time I made it I used less mince and added some lentils but we felt it affected the flavour too much. Lentils were fine in chili con carne though, so will put them in that again.

Sorry, I'm just burbling aren't I? (sigh) My brain isn't working too well atm. I think I'd better just go, and hope tomorrow's brain will be better

    Best wishes
