Rude customers always use the 'well I'm going to B&Q' argument, which is when he tells them to pee off!!
  • how funny people swearing- hilarious NOT

in my book, no matter how rude, ignorant, etc. a customer was I would not stoop to that level

I have yet to see a retail training manual or any chain that has customer service requiring swearing
Baby Milk Action is a non-profit organisation which aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding.
  • For once I fully agree with Ivan - when will people accept that mistakes happen, things go wrong and electrical items break! I always go in with that attitude and am usually alright, its if they get funny after that that i will get funny back.

When I used to work in CS the worse a customer got the nicer I bacame to them .. however the less I was likely to do for them. As soon as they said 'I can go to competitor .inc' I usually would say 'Ah well, it is always a shame to lose a customer but let me know how you got on' and walk away leaving them standing there still shouting at me. If they called me back I would start with 'oh sorry, I thought you had said you were going to competitior .inc' ... usually when they found out you just didn't care about their threats and they were only inconveniencing themselves they would start behaving rationally again.

.......... My dad won't be spoken to like crap so usually tells the person to f*ck off to which they ask to speak to his manager and his manager usually says 'if you're gonna talk to my staff like that then you can pi*s off to homebase'. :rotfl:

    he loves his boss.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see why your father is so proud of this attitude.

I think it's a shame that anyone has to resort to swearing. The customer shouldn't treat you in that way, but neither should your father or the manager resort to swearing as a response.

Hearing that this is the type of response in this store certainly does not induce me to visit it.

At least 80% of the human race swears. End of the day people shouldn't go in the store and talk to my dad like he was a slave. It's called B&Q, DIY (do it yourself) not treat staff like they are crap.

Don't get me wrong, iIf you spoke to him nicely then he would be very nice back. But if you went in thinking that you were superior to him then he and his management wouldn't want you in that store.
