Having just returned from said forum, after asking 2 very direct questions and receiving a barrage of idiots telling me repetedly and incessently to not reply, file the letters, else they don't want to talk to me (that is how I took it) and having to tell them numerous times that I wanted a specific answer, not just the same tac over again that I can read freely in other posts, I would poo-poo Pepipoo with the best of them. I would like to say I made my point for the benefit of those who need proper advice, but i don't think that is possible.

I have also read the thread & I am afraid it is you who comes across as the idiot. You repeatedly compare your previous employment of issuing FPNs for dog fouling (an admirable trade I must admit) with the PPCs "tickets".

Despite being constantly reminded that there is no comparison, FPN having a legal basis, unenforceable invoices from PPCs do not, you keep suggesting that you want "to get one over them".

Fact. PPCs are scammers intent on parting you from your hard earned.

Fact. They continuously flout laws in this quest.

Fact. They intimidate people with unlawful threats regarding what they will do if you do not pay.

Do you think these scammers are a) in the slightest bit interested in your "strongly worded complaint? or b) ever likely to confront you in a court case in which they know they will lose?

And, if by some miracle it did go to court & you "won", they would just restart the next day under a different name, so what have you gained?

I am sorry, but the only way to deal with these scammers is to IGNORE them.

If I am wrong, then I think I will have to start a letter today to Dr Omoki Zindali, who apparently is finding it difficult to get $5.5 million out of Nigeria without my help.

First of all they are not idiots there. They are very helpful people. You asked for advice and got upset when they told you what you did not want to hear. Quite frankly I am amazed they tolerated you as long as they did. You came over as a bit of a WUM and a right wally.

People here should not be dissuaded from going to Pepipoo for some excellent advice.

Totally agree .. I lurk over there most days and the advice and help they give out is really good ... and the patience they often show sometimes baffles me :D

I have read all articles relating to this and my 18year old daughter parked at a local car park and has received 3 parking fines. I have told her to ignore them as suggested but she has now received the threatening baliff letters - Do i still ignore them as suggested and can they come round to our property to claim any items??

I would like to put her mind at rest, but obviously i'm now concerned!!

First of all they are not "fines" - they are invoices. Secondly they are not bailiffs, they are debt collectors. A Bailiff is an officer of the court who only comes into play if the case every goes to court - which is very unlikely.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

First are you sure it says bailiffs and not debt collectors? DCA's have no more rights than your neighbours cat. Secondly for bailiffs to be involved, there would have had to have been a court case, which you had lost and subsequently not paid. Thirdly bailiffs can only remove goods after they have obtained peaceable entry. If you refuse entry, they're stuffed. So in short, yes, still ignore.

I was parked in a McDonalds car park at McArthur Glen in Scotland last Sunday for around 2 3/4 hours. I got a parking charge notice today from UK Parking Control Ltd, Borehamwood, for £75 if paid in 14 days increasing to £95.

It says I was bound by T&C's before entering to 1 hour parking which were supposedly clearly displayed before entering and around carpark. I never saw any signs and there was no ticket on car when I returned. They are holding photographic evidence on file.

Should I ignore it as not sure how law applies in Scotland.

    Grateful for any advice please.

This is all part of their tacky plan.

As is them using pseudo legal documents in their communications.

They know that a certain percentage of recipients will buckle under the unpleasantness and pay up.

Take heed of all the advice (not just here, but elsewhere on the net) and ignore everything they send you.

Same advice as always - ignore them.

(They say you are bound by Ts + Cs - how do they know who was driving?)
  • Hi all, new here, so please give me good news!

I parked today in an unused fuel station (now a hand car wash) opposite a police station for about 5 minutes whilst I went inside to report a crime.
When I returned, a van had parked behind my car, and a chap got out and dully handed me a ticket for £75, saying it was private land and I had not got a permit.
Obviously I contested, but I got the old chestnut, "it's just my job".

Now after reading guidelines from Martin should I just ignore it?
I must point out that I have a company car, leased through leaseplan.
Their policy is that if anyone should get a parking fine, leaseplan will pay it but then pass on the charges along with an admin fee.

To add, the company in question is Car Park Solutions LTD.

Do these people who give out tickets have access to private information from the DVLA? If I refuse to pay it how will they know who I am?
    Can the baliffs get involved?
I didn't give this guy my name, he just took my reg.
Any advice would be greatfully received!!
    Thanks,

    John.
