  • V8888 form I think, just the same as you and I can. They may well get the details from the likes of Ranger Services, who, as well as a ppc will sell details to anyone who asks (allegedly)
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Hi all, ive just recently had a penalty charge notice from a company called city centre services (sunday 19th), judging by the numerous posts am I right in thinking that I should ignore it? As ive parked on this land on numerous sundays previously, I have googled the address for this "company" & it comes up as a company called credit debt & legal?? its says on the notice I have 7 days to pay £55 or 14 to pay £85! any advice would be greatly recieved many thanks!

Yes ignore it! I haven't heard of this outfit though. However if it a private parking charge ignoring them is best practice.
  • City Centre Services! - seems like another PPC trying to sound like a council department. Ignore them.
  • Perhaps we should all call them demanding that they come and empty our bins. Easy mistake to make with a name like that.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

I googled City Centre Services 190m hits. It will take some time for them to surface.

Many here find this place by googling the ticket issuer ie: UKCPS brings up 54K

Even if you narrow it down to City Centre Parking ticket, 11m hits City Centre Parking 14m hits!

There is no limited company registered at Companies House as Aspect Parking Solutions. However, their website domain name was registered earlier this year by a "risk consultancy" giving the address of a known mail-drop on The Strand. A search of the IC register for the same postcode revealed another company called Associated Process Servers Ltd (a coincidence of business types or just initials?) as a data controller at the same mail-drop address. However, a Companies House search for Associated Process Servers Ltd revealed a current registered office in Petersfield in Hampshire (previously registered at The Strand mail-drop) with a director bearing a name common to the risk consultancy in whose name Associated Parking Solutions website was registered - QED.

Besides, the website would appear not to provide the name of the service provider nor a geographical address at which they may be contacted and would appear, thus to be in breach of the eCommerce Regulations.

Then on its "How it Works" page there is a bold claim:

"APS is a member of the BPA and is an Approved Operator of the DVLA. We will ensure payment of the fine from the driver and you will receive a compensation cheque of £10 within 24 hours of the fine being paid".

Well, they certainly don't appear in the December AOS Member's list but that's not to say that they aren't members of the BPA.

Given that they appear to offer just a DIY car park kit then in all likelihood this is a shoebox affair. definitely a case for TS.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
