Can anyone help? I got a parking ticket in a supermarket carpark next to the college i attend as college car park was full. I was told if you ignore the letter they dont follow it through so i did but not have had a few letters and the latest one is from a debt collection agency saying i have 7 days to pay....do i keep ignoring or do i have to pay>??

Follow the advice above. The letters soon dry up.;)
  • im taking the radical approach of ignoring, then ignoring some more and then i might ignore it just a little bit more,if that fails then im going to ignore them big style, huh they wont like that when i really ignore them!Cowboys they are, come on Tonto we're outa here cause we got a lot of ignoring to do

I don't know where you're getting your advice from but it's totally wrong...........what you really need to do is ignore them.

I think you are wrong offering that advice, what you really need to do is IGNORE ;)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Apparently using the words 'scam' and 'cowboys' [and presumably 'scum, crooks, liars, thieves and vermin' also] when talking about these 100% legal, honest, hard-working and perfectly acceptable legitimate companies is a no, no....as far as MSE is concerned.

  • I can appreciate the sites dilemma, pepipoo have the same restriction. There are less litigeous ways of conveying the way we think of them and saying how they do a wonderfull job is not one of them.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

The CAG website has also imposed the same ban.

AIUI, certainly with CAG (and maybe MSE), it was one particular PPC who objected to the word sc*m in posts relating to their company. I won't name them, since the issue may still be ongoing.
