if you google them it seems they have had a few spankings in court over clamping.0 -
Im only worried because I have sent an appeal letter, if I had ignored them from day one I would be OK (ish). Now ive made contact does that me liable to now pay or can I ignore future letters?0

If and I emphasize if it went to court you could not rely on saying you were not the driver. The argument would be whether this company suffered any loss which is all you can recover for breach of contract. Which is what they are relying on.
Seeing you paid initially then paid for the 10mins over, nobody has suffered a loss. It would then come down to a county court to decide if a penalty of £70 is just.
No one can tell you what to do as we don't know what they will do. However look just on this forum and you will see thousands of these tickets being issued. Very very few are ever reported to make it to court and even fewer defended cases are ever quoted as lost.
You will find some troll posts about won court cases but you will see they are soon seen off.;)0 -
Now that the snow is lying on the ground I expect any day now we will be getting reports of moronic PPCs ticketing (or even clamping) motorists for "not parking in a designated bay", even though those bays are not visible. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Hi people thanks for your messages, but I am worried that they could send out baliffs later. Nisas staff didn't jump and say that all this is not a scam, you have to pay it. They just said they had alot of these 'notices' come in that day. If they knew their 'new' policies for their carpark, then why the hell didn't they say so? yet someone on the phone from Nisas when I rang them today, said the new policy came out back in October. that number I was given was for a company called 'creative parking' and they provide this service for Nisas carpark as well as others.0

Stop posting so hastily with suggestions about 'checking signage' (pointless) and start reading:

Then you will know why we keep replying 'ignore'. You really are SAFE, no bailiffs, no nothing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Received a 'parking charge notice' from 'town and city parking', usual 30/60 payment, reason for ticket 'parking without a valid permit'.
I was parked in an empty university car park at the weekend, however the sign in relation to the car park does not state a penalty will be incurred if a valid permit is not on display, which I believe it is elsewhere on campus. The sign merely states no parking outside the lines, in disabled bay without badge etc, thus when the ticket states 'This vehicle was parked at the location stated at a specific time in breach of terms and conditions advertised', surely the ticket is invalid?
Not sure what the deal is with university parking - i was a student here but have since graduated.

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
