Regarding CP Plus - The photographic evidence online does not state that you will have to pay - but I have not gone online to check - I would think that part is free.

Have got the 2nd Reminder Notice saying that we have lost our choice of paying £50 and can only pay £80
    now!

The sign at the Moto Services said - "if parking over 2 hours pay by mobile phone - see the signs in the car park for details".

    No phone = no payment!

    2. We all know that disabled bays in private car parks are not just for blue badge holders, because it would breach the DDA, so why don't council car parks breach the DDA, by insisting on the blue badge?

    Sorry, it's Friday and I'm bored. :)

Anybody got any idea's on this question?

I don't think so, my understanding is that council run car parks have the blue badge scheme in place, meaning that its enforceable to park there without a badge. Though I could be wrong in that regard.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

And normally it's a nice 0870 number you have to phone to "pay" which on a mobile phone can get expensive.

I stopped by Tesco in Winchester a few nights back to get a late night sandwich and didn't notice the Euro Car Park signs warning that there was a 2 hour limit in place (pretty pointless cos the Tesco in question is way out of town and has a stupidly massive car-park), so it looks like that particular Tesco has got shot of Euro Car Parks :D
  • I recently left my vehicle at my partners apartment. she has an underground carpark for which an annual fee is paid. in addition she pays for a visitors car parking space which I occasionally use.

We recently went on holiday for two weeks. I parked my car in the visitors bay and returned to find, not one but six penalty tickets issued by a private company for failing to display my visitors permit. I must admit that I had left it in my console.

Ive heard lots about the legitimacy of such companies. Their fines are £90 each £45 if paid within 14days.

Could anybody give me some advice on the legitimacy of being issued with six tickets for fail to display when my car never left the car park for two weeks and where I stand legally before I contact them
    Thanks !

Why would you want to contact them? Just totally and utterly ignore them. Let them waste money sending scam invoices to you. They have NO legal powers whatsoever.

If i sent you an invoice for replying to your post would you pay it? No, exactly. Do not let them bully you. Like the clamper's, their business model is totally collapsing before thier eyes.

Look at all the new posters asking for advice, it's obviously working. Love it.

Only 6 tickets? I'd be tempted to see how many more you can get.

I believe the record is 70!
  • Hi, I have received a letter from Civil Enforcement Ltd dated 02/10/10 regarding parking at Mcdonalds. My car is a company car so all letters go to my head office and then are forwarded to me.
I was 6 & 1/2 minutes over the 75 minute limit in a Mcdonalds/BP service station. Admittedly I did not see the signs but going back today to check they are there.

I am not sure what to do as the advice on here is to ignore them but I know my company will receive all letters first and the Company Car Policy requests that all fines are paid by the driver.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
