also on the back there is a section called "Administration/Lawful Issue" which states: "This parking charge has been lawfully issued and the collection procedure will be processed in accordance with The Administration of Justice Act 1970. A number of Government organisations operate a working code of practice of which Private Car Parking Enforcement Agency adheres. To ensure constant lawful and ethical business practice, such organisations are granted access to assess and review operational procedures."
What utter rubbish. They are talking through their backsides as usual.
You are giving these idiots far too much credibility. Coupon-mad is giving good advice, please take it!0 -
Sorry if it looked like I was ignoring your advice and the advice from others, I wasn't. Believe it or not I did actually read through the majority of these threads. I'm just a big worrier who need lots of reassurance but you finally got through to me..
Maybe i'm wrong but I couldn't see a word 'MAY' or one that's a synonym for it in the sentence I provided. I guess it doesn't matter now though, as you say, its very unlikely that it'll go to court.. anyway I really appreciate the advice and support you have given me on this topic, you've been great:money:

[My son was driving my husband's car and left it for an evening in a motorway services car park whilst he went off with friends for a while. He did see the warning signs but didn't believe them for some reason. We have now received a Parking Charge Notice for £80 reduced to £50 if paid within 28 days. They say they have photographic evidence and as they have a time of arriving and leaving may be CTV. The parking charge notice was sent on behalf of the company's clients.
Should we ignore the letter or write to tell them my husband was not responsible - our son does not live at the same address either.]
Thank you for the replies to my original post above - I will ignore and check out the other links you have suggested.
My son will be pleased to save his money as he is already in the usual student debt position.0 -

I received a parking charge from Premier Control Security last week in the McDonalds Car Park in Southall. I left the car-park for a few minutes to get some cash to pay for my meal in McD and I got the ticket. I believe it is unfair because it is a free car-park and I did not intend to abuse it by parking free for long. My intention was to buy a meal and leave.
I have read a lot of threads on this topic and have decided to ignore them and not pay them.
Has anyone else dealt with this particular company?
The only issue I have is that I will be out of the country for the next 4 months with no access to the post at all. How long would it take for the unlikely event of a court notice to turn up my door?0
