I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
After receiving a euro car parks charge notice at a Morrisons store,I followed the advice and have not answered any correspondence. This morning I have received a letter from control account plc, credit management and my fine has escalated from £30 to £79.38. The letter is informing me "of an intention to make a Civil Claim ". "This is your final chance to prevent Litigation being commenced against you: if you ignore this warning then proceedings may commence and Judgment will be sought. The cost relating to such Litigation will be added to the amount claimed, together with interest at a statutory rate of 8%". It then goes on to say that I could get either a warrant of execution, attendance in court and other.
What do I do? I'm feeling intimidated and a bit scared now. Never had anything like this before. I wish I had paid the £30 for spending too long in the store instead now this!!
Any advice. I'm posting this on the other website that has been suggested also.

That is the last letter they send, ignore it and they give up.0

Agreed, I had a Eurocrapparks ticket last year and got just the 3 letters, they are nobodies.
Dunno why you even read that letter so closely? It doesn't need such attention.
And that link supplied above by Orford, showing the letter-chain to you, has been on our forum for months! If you'd read the forum stickies you'd have seen the letters already and wouldn't have got at all worked up about this one. In fact you'd be smiling as you would have known it was the last letter.
So now you can breathe a sigh of relief and carry those letters around with you to tell friends about the whole scam and show them what sort of threatograms these scammers send out.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And to stick it to the man, if you have a spare couple hours go to Morrisons and spend some time loading up your trolley with goods and leave it saying "oh dear my time is up in the car-park, I don't want to get a charge"0

It must say somewhere on the ticket, otherwise how could you pay
( assuming that for a nano-second you would even comtemplate doing so)
It was issued by CPS (Midlands) Limited - I've already read on these thread this company getting slated and to ignore at all costs.
Just to ask: Do these cowboys work off their own backs to irritate the **** out of people or are they hired by individual shops/companies?0
