I was standing outside boots at 9am this morning waiting for the doors to open.

I grabbed 1 - yes 1 of the OOTW. Didnt need anymore as i have no one i would give them too.

I saw a little old lady looking at them and i gave her my best advice, telling her they were an absolute bargain. I told her about the 3 4 2 and the GWP's. I also made sure she got her 400 points for a £40 spend out of the ACM. She was extremely thank full for my help. She grabbed 3 of them and also 3 GWP's. My good deed for the day.

I them got a boujois sharpener, 1 trevor sorbie leave in conditioner. Used both parts of my bluey2. Had £28.xx to pay. Got normal points and used 150pts on trevor sorbie from the ACM.

Both me and DF need new glasses, well i do DF has never had his eyes tested so i made him get them done.

I got 2 pairs of glasses. They are BOGOF. They were £125 per pair. I got £31.75 off cos i am entitled to free glasses. I noticed there was an ACM voucher for £25 a pair of glasses. Which CAN be used with NHS and BOGOF. So my 2 pairs of glasses cost me £63.50 - not exactly a grab it now but i was well chuffed at my bargain glasses.

Then DF comes out from his eye test telling me he's almost as blind as a bat.
He picks a pair of glasses for £99 also on BOGOF. I asked the SA if i could go and get another voucher out of the ACM she said - i cant see why not so off i trotted to get another £25 off voucher. So he also got 2 pairs of glasses for £42.25 (also entitled too free glasses.)

So thats 4 pairs of glasses worth £448 for a grand total of £105.75 and 100 points.

This has to be my best ever boots bargain as it was truly something we REALLY needed and managed to get so much money off.

So on the way out i walked past the fragrance counter and treated DF to a bottle of new aftershave. I them walked past the lancome counter and having sniffed a sample from a .com order i recieved treated myself to the ''magnifique'' perfume. I was going to just buy a bottle but the lancome SA said it was better value to buy the gift set as you get a free mascara and 2 body wash type things as well as the same size perfume for £28.87 as they had 10% off. So i got the gift set. There both wrapped up under the tree with a nice tag saying ''merry xmas from MR B'' as i paid with some of the points that i have been saving.

When i got home i emptied the contents out of the OOTW and decided it makes the most gorgeous box to put my make up in as i can put all my daily stuff in the top part as it has a mirror, and all the stuff i dont use as much in the bottom drawer.

By the time we walked out of boots at 10.45am they had sold out of the OOTW. Although they were expecting an afternnon delivery.

I have had IMO a fab boots shop today, 4 pairs of glasses, 1 boujois sharpener, 1 TS leave in conditioner, 1 x OOTW, 1 x GWP, 1 magnifique perfume gift set, 1 CK one aftershave.

Total before any discounts etc applied (RRP's) - £568.92,
Total to pay (Cash) £133.75 (Used both parts bluey2)
    Total points recieved - 271
Total to pay (redeemed points) - £43.54
    Grand total SAVED - £435.17 :)

I have just shown DF these figures and his mouth is still on the floor, he now understands why i spend so much time reading this thread, LoL.

(I hope my figures are correct, maths isnt my strong point, and i have mispaced 1 of my receipts)
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!

Haven't been able to log in for a while as our PC had a nasty virus ( think this has now been sorted, thanks to a very clever Brother-in-Law, phew!)

Enjoying catching up a bit on posts - seems I've missed some good uses of the blueys, but I haven't been shopping for AGES so I'll have to wait for the next till spits I think.

It's a bit annoying about the way different Boots view the No 7 GWP/£18 thingy - a friend bought the OOTW today for me and her (and someone else- dunno who yet!) and was only allowed to get one GWP. I'd asked her to try to get 3. Mind you, on my maths you'd only be able to get 2, as 3 would need a spend of £54, so I don't know how people have got 4! Rather jealous!

Anyway, it's good to be back - thought I'd managed to kick the habit, having gone cold tukey for several days, but this thread has got me back in its clutches:rolleyes:
  • I'm truly overwhelmed by your generosity in sending me so many vouchers  .

I'm hoping to pass on the newborn/weaning ones, any takers?

Thanks again to anta, you're a star

    Merry Christmas all :rudolf:
