I got an e7 MAC after sending them a letter the other day putting my complaint in writing. I also got that email about the upgrade despite paying £16 in November. Grrrr..

We're off to Eclipse who seem to have a good reputation and have 1 month contract so if anything goes wrong we can move again.

Hopefully I'll be able to get money back.

Just need to get the rest of my family out of there now - problem is my parents haven't had bad service at all so not sure if I can use the "service is crap" angle to get away?

Yes thanks I notice Eclispe is well respected
1 month cotract- does this mean you give 1 month notice and will easily get a MAC
but will you have a termination fee?

Oddly enough, I emailed them a couple of weeks ago....no reply but I haven't had an outage since. Coincidence?

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I've emailed them a few times in the past couple of weeks. had a couple of complaints. mainly to do with lack of connection and low speeds. can't see anyone else complaining so maybe it was just me! :rotfl:

anyway, i resorted to pretending I wanted to pay more money for some more speed... and they didn't even fall for the trick!

lellie, I note you wrote to them, is there an address you'd be happy to share with me ?. I'm gradually accepting that I may lose connection for several weeks/months now. I'm unsure what to do. Reluctant to bombard with emails and calls cost so much, especially when they say they have a high volume of disgruntled users awaiting them, hopefully my request for help of 23rd March will soon be dealt with.

I have just seen on the site https://www.adslguide.org.uk that Ofcom are now to investigate if E7 have contravened various rules. I must say its taken Ofcom a long time to get started on this upsurge of consumer concern and I just hope that the MAC problem will be investigated quickly although at first glance it looks like other issues being investigated. Still no MAC despite letters, Emails etc., it must be months since I requested one.

    Hi guys,

Not that it will help anyone else but just to let people know that I have received my mac code after waiting nearly four months for it.

I have been on the BBUK network and the service has always been pretty dodgy.

Keep emailing them and make sure that you start a chargeback through your credit card company where applicable. I done this about a fortnight ago so don't know if its coincidence or not that I have now received my MAC.

All in all hopefully everyone will get sorted shortly.

    fingers crossed

    Ali

Well, fingers cross for you Ali, but I got a migration code and it was rejected by BT. I'm going to start a credit card refund now as well. It's strange that the offline computer press don't seem to be saying anything at all about this company.

Thanks Sasparillo, code has been accepted by AOL (monthly contract if you have your own modem/router) so fingers crossed ill be gone from e7 soon, shame but c'est la vie.
