Where's the ice cream farm? I want to go there!!
I would maybe leave the postman some chocolate, but not a fiver.
Thanks everyone for good wishes. I wish we were past the scary part, although I suspect that won't happen till the kid's an adult!
Its a place called Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, if you come from Chester, head towards Whitchurch, 5 miles fom Chester, from Shrewsbury/Whitchurch head to Chester, bout 10 miles this side.
The flavours of the icecream are amazing, and there all made on the premises, they have over 100 ice creams, basically u name it they have it, top of head, gooseberry crumble, apple pie + custard, cherry crumble, mince pie, christmas pud, sherry trifle, as well as vanilla, strawberry and the old favourite chocolate.
Got a Lynx set from Tesco reduced to £3.79 do for postman, sods law had 3 gents gifts spare, and they all ended up being used.
Hope the bedrest going ok, u take care. How far along are you? xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

I wouldn't leave my postman anything because he is miserable, I have seen him posting letters back into a postbox.. oh and because my post doesn't get here for a week or two.
Sorry I have been away so long everyone. I thought the flu had just come back but it has developed into a chest infection and I have felt absolutely rotten and panicked because I also have asthma. I am still battling to get Logans birthday ready for tomorrow. Travelling to my moms to pick the kids up and eat a sunday roast later.
How is every one doing with only 3 days left
Pinkladymel - Hope ur feeling better, sorry to hear about the chest infection, thats the trouble with asthma, I dont know about u but it makes me more prone to chest infections, first sign of a cough, or sore throat out come the strepsils etc.
Hope Logan had a gd bday, u take care and try to get some rest b4 xmas, although I guess easier said than done.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Hubs is a postie and although this sounds really ungrateful(which he isn't, afterall you don't have to give anything!!) and last year he came home with bottles of whiskey etc(which we don't drink) that would have cost in excess of a fiver he would have much preffered the money no matter how small the amount. Unless you know him well and know his likes/dislikes.
Sorry for the loooong ramble

Hi
To be honest hes only been our postman for about 2 months, so feel a bit stuck, got him a mens lynx set in the end. Our last postman was out of this world, you couldnt of met one nicer, but bless him he retired, as well as hos retirement prezzie bottle of whisky (sounds like a popular choice), we got him blanket for his cats of dd.

Had lovely time at Panto, thou very nearly didnt make it, took dd to McDonalds for her dinner as a treat, she was coughing and spluttering this morning, but she wanted to go.....lets just say the Happy meal box had more than one use........2 secs warning I feel sick........
Bless her she insisted on going to Panto, she got invited up on stage again, my poor dad got picked on because of his bald head, and I was jumping out of the seat everytime those pirotechnics or what ever there called went off....and my mum actually enjoyed herself.
DD is now officially poorly turned down chocolate, and is coughing, spluttering and hot, so dosed up with the usual stuff, if shes no better in the morning its docs appointment.
So our little break in Chester is most proberly postponed.(sods law as start new tight financial regime in Jan)..as dd listed on booking, could claim on ins, but the docs report £40, the rm 4 the 2 ngts £18.00 So have promised her a day out after xmas in Chester, she can spend her xmas money.
On the xmas front
3 sets of presents left to deliever
redo false nails xmas eve (new yrs resolution to grow nails - same one for ova 30 yrs)
small tesco shop - fresh items, salad, cream, etc
I know were all superbly brilliantly orgainsed, but if anyone needs any extra presents Superdrug have got some xmas range on sale prices, best offers at mo are on their Spa range, and 3 4 2
Soap dish - with soap was £2.99 now 99p

Only three days to go!!! My list of things to be done:-
Ironing
Small shop (probably just local shops)
Change beds
Clean bathroom
General tidy up
Make sausage rolls
Wrap three remaining presents
Deliver presents to DD1's friends
Get DD's present from mum's attic
Bit of sadness here as OH's granny had a big stroke on Saturday and she's not expected to make it through - we are just waiting for the phone call. She is an old 80 (if you know what I mean) so it may be kinder if she does just slip away. We saw her last month for her birthday and though it was hard work I am glad that we did see her. I just feel very sorry for OH's mum as she is running around like a headless chicken trying to sort everything out.The great declutter 2010Money neutral and thrifty gifty for Christmas 2010 :xmassmile0 -
morning,
well weekend didnt go quite to plan, had lots of visitors turn up unexpected which stopped me doing what i wanted but nice to see them too. So had lots of drinks , lots of nibbles and chocs instead.
Today i have one load of washing left to do and iron and some general cleaning. Then some pressies left to wrap. After this i have to go mad with packing we go away on boxing day until after the new year so must get packed.
