  • Just wanted to say a big Merry Christmas to you all, I hope that Santa brings you everything you desire and 2009 is a happy, healthy, wealthy year for all. Thanks for all your ideas and motivation.
  • Morning all, just having a coffee break before tackling the last of the housework & cooking. Upstairs is shining like a new pin & my backs holding up this morn.

Hoping LO will goto bed on time again tonight as I'm hoping to finish wrapping the pressies, so tomorrow evening I can enjoy the festivities.

    Right, back to it

    That's wonderful!

We're going to do the very last of the food shopping today, then tomorrow my grandmother's birthday and a friend's leaving party and then we're all done and ready to enjoy the season! Hurrah!

Merry Christmas everyone. Enjoy your holidays!

  • Hi Everyone.

Will be joining you properly in the New year, I've been following the xmas thread and this one for the last couple of months and have found it encourages me to get things done!

I had wrapped all presents until last night, when I went to Sainsburys to get last foodie bits and ended up buying a 1/2 price dalek helmet which my dds wanted but I refuse to pay £40 for it! bit of an impulse buy really Im afraid to say, as had done all my spreadsheets to work out my xmas budget! Oh well, girls will love it and I'm sure they will drive us mad with it.

Starting Jan we are going to do the 'live on £4000 a year challenge' which hopefully combined with this thread will make it easier, so we can pay the mortgage off in 3 years or sooner.

    My to do list for the rest of today;
    Change beds
    Clean bathrooms
Wrap final present( and any others hubby 'may' come home with later)!
Visit Santa this afternoon if I feel well enough to take girls- if not it will be tomorrow
    Deliver some presents
Go to docs to pick up prescriptions
Make a baked cheesecake or pavlova -not sure which yet as fancy both!
    Put paperwork away
Ironing-done all washing, I have an empty bin for once! hooray!
and whatever else I come across!
For once I am virtually organised....although I woke up feeling like the dreaded flu is on the way, dosing myself up and will get an early night tonight!

Happy Christmas to everyone and looking forward to joining you all in the New Year!!

Wow...I braved Mr T this morning to get the final food shop (just needed the fresh bits) and what a nightmare...we were there for 11...and they had already run out of loose brussels !!

Luckily there were a few pre packed ones left, so we have them...but it was absolutely heaving !!
Am now just doing the final bits around the house....going to set the table, then get rid of the bit of ironing...then pretty much done !!:D

Just wanted to take the opportunity to wish you and your families a happy, healthy, and merry Christmas, and look forward to joining in again in the New Year...to get ready for Christmas 2009

    Merry Christmas everyone X

I'm officially ready! Got the turkey today which was the last thing on the list:T

On the down side, had to pay out nearly £200 to get the car fixed_pale_  Need to start getting some of the money owed me by Mum back now. She thinks I'm made of the stuff instead of struggling to cope.

    Happy Christmas Eve Eve everyone

Watched my 25th Christmas film today with the family!! Tee hee hee and I still haven't watched the nightmare before CHristmas!!
Well done again to everyone out there, I think we have all done so well (well most have done better than me but that's another story!!) I am going to make up about 6 or 8 snowman soups and about 6 lots of reindeer food for my Christmas eve visitors to take with them and I still need to marzipan the cake! Just got hubby's and kids' pressies to wrap now which is fine as I love doing the wrapping and hope to do some of kids tonight once they are in bed. Made mum and dad a mini hamper each, sister a little choccy one, cousin a sexy hamper and neice a drinks party hamper looking cute under the tree!!

Thanks for continued support, happy Christmas Eve Eve to all xxx
