Wow aren't I glad I was organised this year cos the car broke down yesterday...was in all day getting fixed today but I was all done anyways so it didn't matter - when we got the car back at tea time we had to do the santa run a bit quicker than usual - but I thoroughly enjoyed it - it's one of the best bits about christmas - seeing friends, exchanging gifts, and wishing everone well - I love it.

  • Hiya everyone,

Lily nearly gave me heart attack today as went to go out the door tothe taxi and she ran out to follow me!! Me, my nan and this taxi guy spent HALF AN HOUR:mad:    trying to get her back, i was hysterical. I was so lucky that she didnt get hit by a car, she's so small it would have killed her instantly:( So all day i have been a nervous wreck!! I'm going to have to buy one of them kiddies playpens for her to stay in as next time i doubt she will be so lucky. I never realised how much she meant to me until today, i was running out in front of cars on a busy road, i just wanted her safe. I'd never panicked so much in all my life, it shook me up so badly so mum gave me a cookie and tea to calm my nerves.

Still never mind the main thing is that she's okay.

    I now have to:
Tidy the table (set up places etc)
[STRIKE]Vax the carpet on the landing AGAIN!!! Grr[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Drop off one hamper and two pressie bags to OH house without OH mum seeing :D[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Re tidy bedroom as it looks like a elephant has run through it(although its two very naughty dogs that have!!)[/STRIKE]
NOT touch money until mid month next month
Bring down presents for dad's family and put them in living room(Xmas Eve)
Bring down OH Santa's sack and stocking (Xmas EVE)

  • Congratulations jamtart! That's wonderful news! :T

Can't believe the big day is tomorrow - it's come round so quickly. OH has just announced that he is doing the cooking tomorrow so I don't need to prepare anything today - he is not a 'prepare-ahead' type person so the kitchen will be in chaos tomorrow but I don't care!

Some good news, OH's granny is still in hospital but after a bad prognosis she is actually responding to her visitors. OH went yesterday and he thought she recognised him. We just have to wait and see.

So once again, a big thank you to all you lovely people on this thread - you have made this Christmas one of the best yet. I send you lots of love and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
