Hi everyone, not been on for a few days, am going to put in my £5 Xmas present from Grandad (actually it was sent to me AND DD....hmm....bless him ;) ) and a couple of coppers.

Have managed to resist a few bars of choc but made up for them with reduced bread/crumpets in A*da the other day, so doubt I've lost any weight :(:(

Never mind, have a terramundi with at least £10 in it - yay :)

Happy Sunday everyone, DD and I are off to see her first real ballet, Peter & The Wolf/Carnival of the Animals in sunny Brighton this afternoon :)
  • Hi - can I join this challenge please? Won't put a target, just see how much I can save in 2009 - thank you.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

    Hi All

Wow Jess, what a time you have been through. You make sure you take care of yourself now.

Well after a great staff night out last night, I ended up with quite a bit of change. I have chucked it all in the pots, I didn't add it up but at a glance looked about £2 in 1ps, 2ps, 5ps, 10ps....

Well my pot has been well fed over the last two days with all the shopping!!.
My pot will be opened this year but will be transferred to an account were my husband is saving in. He is retiring in Oct 2011 and then we intend to go to Australia for as long as we can afford.

Mine was for a new setee, cos the old one is starting to fall apart.

BUT, I reckon by the time I get to next year, I'll have picked up a cheap 2nd hand one (or a feebie off Freecycle), so the money can go towards my hol of a lifetime looking at rocks etc in the USA (not set a date yet)
Debts (incl Mortgage) at LBM (24/09/08) £102849  Now £0. DFD 1st July 2019
  • 6 clunks for me over the weekend. Mine will cover Christmas 2009. What a great feeling it will be to pay for christmas without using any credit.

Just emptied my big whisky bottle that's been sitting there for about 2 years = £75 considering I hardly put anything in it!!!

Want to start again 01/01/09 - might count it every month/quarter as I need some encouragement to keep going - is this allowed????

    Thanks
